                <putting on...>

So, yeah. I got a little excited making Head-Aligned VFX for some people...
'Image
Blindfold, Plague doctor's mask, eye-patch are all in the works, too.

I'm also very interested in starting on the Torso-aligned VFX Accessory package (quivers, sheaths, pouches, etc.).

There's actually a surprising amount of good stuff already done, but I'd like to pull it all together.
I want to create three compilation haks; HA-VFX, TA-VFX and CC-VFX (ground-aligned and other). Each would have a 2DA for itself and there'd be a merged 2DA for all of them. (2DAs will be Q compatible)

What I'd like is for authors of existing content to tell me what I can include and for others to join in creating new content to be added.  By default, I'm planning on using all the VFX produced for the CCC (unless someone objects) and I'll go from there.

This is a moderately easy project so far, but it will get quite complex with some of the equip scripts we are contemplating to make everything work nice.

I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes, just trying to get all this neat stuff in an easy to use package.

Let me know what you think :-)

<just flashed...>

Project Q was incorporated by the simple expedience of starting from their 2da :-)
Other projects I hope to incorporate (in rough order I plan to get to them):

At that point I'll call it v1.0 and return to the "Wanted" list here:

Masks (can only wear one mask at a time):

Awesome! I think having everything consolidated into one, high-quality package is a great idea, as long as all the authors of the content are on board, of course.

               <pulls off his slippers...>

Yup.
Just the Base items (different weapons and their containers) will count around 500 models. We figured it out once and it was doable. Meant to get back to it.

Much less work than TAD's Reforged! And, if he gives permission, we have a pretty good head start with his quivers :-)

Edit: Yes, K, there is a Who Fez :-)

I benefit from support this effort.

Here's what I think is a good reference for a plague doctor's mask:
'Image

I'd love to see this in game. I already am thrilled to see what is coming down the pipe.

I hope someone talented steps up to help with the texture for the Plague Doctor's Mask, but if all else fails its going to be me making the texture. Consider that a threat. If you want a great looking Plague Doctor's Mask (which I want) a talented artist will need to step forward. Rolo is already quite busy here doing the modelling and such. So... if an artist would help him out to make a good texture, that would be great. Otherwise you'll have a great model, with a so-so texture.

I'm not absolutely, completely certain of what's intended here, in terms of categories, etc.

However, IF it's relevant and IF you wish (for any unnatural, twisted, disturbed reason) to include all that outrageously huge and luminous PHoD NEW VFX rubbish from the Vault, then naturally you have official Shabby Hyena sanction to do whatever you like with it. That's what it's there for.

Note:- One of the yet even more ridiculously new Loony VFX that didn't get into the Vault sub or its updates is the "Mass" model, which you should be able to extract from the PHoD Silver Sphere ABC Module, if you can be bothered. (I think I included all eight colours in that).
Further, there are some more yet completely even yet newer still PHoD VFX which I haven't released at all. Still working on some of them; that's how new they are. In fact, some of them are so new, they won't even have been invented for another six years.... Anyway, if you DO want them, I can send you the unreleased ones as well, when they've all been hit with big bricks...

As requested elsewhere - Rolo don't forget the steam/smoke coming out of ears gag. Might as well add it exiting nostrils as well ('^_^').

Needless to say, these are looking very good indeed.

Some other 'bear necessities':

Glasses.

Sunglasses.'B)'

'pirate' eye-patches.

Blindfolds.

Crowns (I remember someone doing nice-looking elven headgear before).

Lower face covers/masks - there are whole head models featuring these even in the vanilla head collection - always thought if these could be made 'removable'.':bandit:'

-------------------
(more elaborate stuff)

Bruises and bleeding wounds
+
Bandages  ( know there were previous attempts at this, but perhaps not as vfx)

(both would be a great contribution, adding a whole new realism angle to combat and healing)

               'wishful-thinking level of elaborate'

Changes in facial expression and face colour.

Blinking/ closed eyes.

'Shavable facial hair'  (probably applies to human males only).

Earrings - other visible jewelry.

Halos  (both the 'ring above the head' and the 'light shining around the head' ones.)

Flies buzzing around the head.

Flowers in hair and flower crowns.

Sea weed and sea-stuff in hair.

Hm.... a proper looking, animated mermaid tail could be nice too, but that'd be grappling with things from a totally different end. '<img'>

Mmmm... maybe my ambient npcs can finally get covered by a blanket that matches the one in the tileset.

What would that have to be?...  a ground aligned VFX?

Then to clarify, I want it all :-) Anything that goes in the visualeffects.2da, that is.
I've got my NwN2daTool.xlsm open and am beginning to organize the master 2da which will contain all the CC VFX we can gather:
1-999 Reserved for Bioware & Q VFX
1000-6999 Head-aligned VFX (I'm hoping that is enough...)
+1000-2499 Masks
+2500-3999 Eyes
+4000-5499 Hats
+5500-6999 Hair & Horns (permanent accesories)
7000-14999 Torso-aligned VFX (this is where I expect the bulk to fall)
15000-19999 Ground-aligned and other VFX

Note:- One of the yet even more ridiculously new Loony VFX that didn't get into the Vault sub or its updates is the "Mass" model, which you should be able to extract from the PHoD Silver Sphere ABC Module, if you can be bothered. (I think I included all eight colours in that).

I'll grab that at some point. I *do* want it ;-)

Yupyup! =)
Either email them or open a dratted dropbox account and share a folder with me :-)
(I *do* love Dropbox! If you are going to start a new account, though, get a referral link from someone here and you both get bonus storage... *I* have quite enough, thank you :-)

Some of those have been done (Carcerian's glasses, for example), but all are good suggestions. And Cestus can expand the Elven Ki-stones to other races, though it pains him terribly.
