TlkEdit13 and Windows 8.1
« on: December 10, 2013, 02:23:18 am »

               Good evening all,

I have been using TlkEdit13 by Ewald the Unimaginative for years, but recently upgraded my computer, which came with Windows 8.1.  I was attempting to make some edits tonight to an itp file on our mod, when I had the following bug show up.  I was able to create a new node into a struct (I want some different names in our palette), but only once.  When I attempted it the second time, the window that would pop up was tiny, and had no drop downs; only a very small white field and a red "x" in the corner.

No, I do not have the ability to grab a corner and drag the window any larger.  '<img'>

I have tried changing the compatability to no avail, as well as running it as Admin.  I know the program requires Java (which I have), but has anyone had this issue, and can you reccommend another possible solution?  This is an excellent tool, and I would hate for it to be rendered inoperative by my upgrade.

Thank You,

Russell '<img'>

               Update:

I can close the file and re-open it, and it will allow me to make an edit, but only one, then the behavior duplicates itself.
