               @Draygoth28:
I completely agree with Mecheon, So, please add both of them.

@Mecheon:
Are you working in a Dray, that would be great?

@Tarot Redhand:
I'm afraid not. However  that would be suitable, because a huge sand worm is one of the DS creatures, and probably Just a retexture of the purple worm would be enough for That.
But for the moment my plants are focused on the tortoise blade, also in going to try an Athasian gith.

               I was hoping someone would tackle the gith. They are one of my favorite DS creatures.

               Great work, guys!

About the Thri-kreen model of Project Q, have you noticed that it`s incapable to use weapons of the big o large type? (the weapons simply doesn`t show, neither in the toolset or  in the game) A shame because a Thri-kreen without a gythka is something... weird.

Draygoth, in the models in wich you are working this problem is fixed?

               I have had some success with this yes. The 2 handed weapons show up and seems to work. I will need to continue testing to make sure I don't need to add more animations though. The screen shot that I posted but didn't stick one of the kreens is holding a spear.

Me too. Have you noticed that in the 4E art the creature have more beastly feet while in previous editions their feet used to be more humanoid. This creature is famous for been able to jump great distances, and probably the beastly feet, are better for that. But I'm no sure what is my favorite; What do you Think?

               I think getting either version is a win. But I am a bit old school and like the older stuff. After looking again I really like the look of the 4e Gith.

               With outrageous silliness, PLUSH HYENA of DOOM presents...
'Posted
I'd apologize for that deplorable display of utterly farcical mentalism, but what'd be the point? I'm mad and I did it deliberately and I'm not sorry at all! Bwaaaah ha ha ha ha!
But I'll make up for it by also including a completely sensible image of the finished Earth Drake. Not that the other image was in any way silly, or at least, it wasn't until I scribbled nonsense on it.
'Posted
An appalling Hybrid, somewhere between a gargantuan Ankylosaur and Mount Everest, the Earth Drake is not something anyone sane would choose to pick a fight with. But with fearful lumpiness, it'll likely attack you on sight, so there may not be much choice involved.
SEE how lumpy it is! (I forget how many gigantic spikes and lumps and boulders and nodules there are on it, but I spent many hours gluing them on by the bucketload, so you can be assured that this is very likely one of the lumpiest things you'll ever see in NWN!

               Currently jamming the Manticore's tail on the Kirre and meddling with the skin at the moment

Loving the earth drake, and considering it another in the "Grabbing it for elemental stuff" pile. Gotta ask if anyone's considering the Fire Drake, simply because its basically the best type of thing, especially in the new version where they decided to add a spine

               I must say that so far I am impressed with both the number and standard of the submissions so far. In fact, as someone who knows very little about the dark sun setting, there is only one thing that I am slightly disappointed with. No one is/has making/made a nightmare beast.

From the 2e mc appendix for dark sun

From the information I have, there are only about 6 on the whole of athas. They vary in size from 20 feet to 30 feet tall and are only surpassed in dangerousness by the dragon.

               Too bad I don't know anything about Dark Sun or NWN model making.

               @Sumthing - You could try a 2D item for the inventory. Clay coins, no metallic, rings and amulets, etc...

The tortoise blade, according to "Dragon Magazine" is equal to a small shield, however it's also, able to cause slashing damage.
Unfortunately, mines are just small shields, because I don't know how to make that a shield can cause damage, in NWN, apart from "cast on hit" hability, but that is no the same...

               <reflecting...>

PLUSH HYENA of DOOM wrote...
I'm still not absolutely, completely, totally certain about the texture. That was one concession to the Dark Sun Crystal Spider which was said to be mottled with assorted colours due to light refraction...
Mentioning light refraction, can anyone please advise me as to how the hell to get this thing to look really shiny and reflective (like the Gem Golems, etc). Because so far, no matter what I do, it just won't go all shiny. I can get any degree of transparency I want, but not the nice shininess...

First, make the creature use envmap in your appearance 2DA. For this one, perhaps the stag beetle's irridescence (#19) is a good reflection map "evmap_irrid". Make sure you have plenty of alpha for the reflection because you're about to mute it with...
Second, in the model itself, make each of the crystal meshes have an alpha of .7 or .8. This gives the *object* transparency, while the *texture* has reflection.

<...on the value of reflection>

               Shemsu you can do that as a shortsword that provides an armor bonus. Or as a new base item, you could set up the AC bous as shield.

I have thought in something like that.
I think that the more similar weapon to that is a punch-dagger, Which is not in the game without a MOD. Also It would need a model for de left hand and other for the Right, in order to not look strange.

Howeaver there still are other things that I would like to do for Dark Sun, So I can't promise, more work with the tortoise blade....
