PHoD Second Gen. DRAY
Four different versions, comprising of what I was vaguely considering as a Templar (
top left), an Elite Templar (
bottom right), a High Priest (
top right) and a sort of bog-standard, ordinary, normal, regular citizen or just a Low Priest... or something (
bottom left).
As to their attire, please remember I'd never even heard of
Dark Sun before this challenge and have been able to find little pictorial information about the Dray's clothing styles, colour schemes, etc - and most of what I have found is black and white.
It seems, however, that the Second Gen. Dray think pretty highly of themselves and, as Shemsu-heru noted, they were created to in some way resemble Dragon Kings, so I decided to give them some fairly rich colours, going for a mainly red and purple scheme with gold (though not necessarily metal) accents, with the usual bone and chitin for some of the Templar armour. I quite liked the High Priest's neck adornment with all the teeth or claws or whatever they are... Anyway, if these are too colourful and they ought to all just wear dirty brown, let me know ASAP and I'll squash the textures with filth-encrusted bricks.
They've all got their weapon and shield nodes so you can equip them with whatever you want.
Also, as promised...
PHoD Second Gen. DRAY KALIN RIDERS
What is it with D&D? The Dray are evil, like big bugs and live in caves and so their name is four letters long and begins "Dr"... The Drow are evil, like big bugs and live in caves and so their name is four letters long and begins "Dr"... You've got to wonder...
Anyway, resisting the not at all overwhelming compulsion to give a Dray a white wig, I instead plonked them on top of the Kalin model I did earlier, added "Weird Evilist Saddle TM" made of finest quality evil materials, with Official Evil Merchandise saddlebags and banner with guaranteed evil designs on it and a not very evil big comfy cushion. Unable to find any specific symbol for Dregoth anywhere, I just drew the first weird sigil that came to mind and used red to match the Dray colour scheme I just arbitrarily invented.
Other than getting the reins lined up between the rider's hand and a big bug that refused to keep still, a simple enough exercise...
And not forgetting...
PHoD First Gen. DRAY
Much more bestial than their later cousins, I tried to make them a bit asymmetrical to suggest their artificial origins, such as making one hand normal and the other a clumped, gnarled thing, putting huge draconic claws on one foot only and spikes that go in different directions on different limbs, that sort of thing.
I did a couple of colour variants, just so they don't look absolutely like clones.
Thus far, that's it for the Dray, though if I have any time at all, I just might add a couple more versions of Gen. 2 with some different robes or armour.
The Dray will almost certainly be the final PHoD creatures for Athas...
