               The Tembo is more or less finished, just needs a few tweaks and the corner of a texture needs hitting with a brick. As the information about Tembos (2E, I think) stated that they live in open desert and also mountainous areas, I have done two different sub-species. Well, two texture versions anyway. Both types come in two sizes to give some variation to their hunting packs...
(Images will be up when I've finished fine-tuning and also when I find somewhere to PUT said images with my handy BSN album squashed.)

Now going to start hitting the Jhakar with a huge brick...

(PS:- Shemsu-Heru... I was on the verge of asking if you were going to do the trikals. They'll definitely find a use along with the carrikals. Very nice... Also, I've done a lot of weird skyboxes for Demoness Tales... One thing I have found is that spheres (planets, moons, suns) tend to distort a little in-game, especially if an Area is very long and narrow rather than totally square... I'll mess around with an Athas-esque Skybox and see what happens. If I get anything that looks good, I'll package it in with the Tembo etc).

               The PHoD Desert Tembo in two sizes...
The smaller one is, give or take, the size stipulated by the "Dark Sun" information I've been working to. The larger one, whilst probably useful as a pack leader or whatever, was mostly done because I wanted a bigger one for use in "Demoness Tales"... an eight foot tall (excluding horns) Demoness needs worthy adversaries, not things she can trample underhoof without noticing.
I made the texture a bit more sand coloured than the vaguely orangey look they seem to have in most of the illustrations. It's a composite of various artwork versions - with all the (few) features that seem to remain constant, huge claws, sabre fangs, square ears, humped back, dorsal spikes, etc - plus the inevitable side-effects of my rubbish abilities clobbering gmax with an unnecessarily large brick.

And the Mountain Tembo, also in two sizes. Darker, rock-coloured hide with greyish-white bone armour plates. Otherwise the same as the Desert ones... Now I return to poking the Jhakar with a pointed stick to see if I can persuade it to stop having weird problems with its verts...

               I gotta ask before I get started, what's everyone's favourite Tiger skin?

I think its a choice between Q or Bloodsong's at this point. Not sure who did Q's though so I may just go with the Bloodsong one which, if I'm remembering right, has gone from Stovik editing the original Dire Tiger skin, edited again for Hydromancer's feline pack and then possibly a skin touch up for the first CEP release like a lot of his creatures, to Bloodsong finally releasing it alongside a white tiger and black one. A long history behind that skin

               @PLUSH HYENA of DOOM:
Good work with the Tembo. An Athasian Sky-box would be great, thank you.
BTW I'm not sure but in the original game Sky-boxes; It's seem that moon and sun are different objects than the base sky. Perhaps that could prevent the distrosion....

@Mecheon:
If the Bloodsong's tiger is the one included in CEP. Then I Think that I prefer PQ tiger.

               Those tembos look very, very cool.  I can tell you right now that when this month is over and I have those files in my hands, they're going into my PW.

The Dragon's paw is a cool Athasian two-bladed Polearm weapon with a curved blade in the middle. According with "Dragon Magazine" this weapon equates to an orc double-axe. (Parts are interchangeables).

               MORE Dark Sun Animals from the Shabby Hyena Weirdo...

By means of blistering skill and profound insight, I dealt with the outrageous problems the rubbish Jhakar was having (such as levitating six feet in the air in-game for no readily apparent reason, which was a mildly comedic but otherwise worthless attribute)... In other words, I scrapped it and started again. The NEW Jhakar works properly and hopefully doesn't look too much like a freakishly squat and lumpy Miniature Dimetrodon...
Also completed and working are the Zhackal, (a small, Jackal-like creature that kills you stone dead by staring at you with its murky psychic powers) and the Rasclinn, (a more benevolent metal dog sort of thing).
'Posted
I'd do a whacking great Silt Horror next, only it would need piles of custom animation for all the tentacles and so, for once, I'm going to be sensible(ish) and look at the list again for some more feasible creatures.

PS:- The image of the Rasclinn in the 2E information appears to have some sort of mane - Actually, it looks like a wig... I tried giving my Rasclinn model a wig, but it just looked damned silly no matter what I did with it. Thus, I removed the noxious wig again and threw it away. If the Dark Sun "experts" amongst you assure me that the wig is an utterly vital feature of the beast, I will see if I can reinstate it without it looking so rubbish but, frankly, I like the creature the way it is, sans wig.

               Hyena of DOOM... I keep seeing bits and bobbles of clothing parts in your screenshots that I've never seen released on the vault (such as the shin parts below)..  any chance you would make a clothing release?

               Wow.  Only the 4th day of the month, and it's looking like it's going to be a very large collection of new stuff.

For the non-model makers out there...you, too, can get involved.  Think of all the prefab items, monsters, and NPCs that could be made just in the toolset for Dark Sun environments.  Desert elves, cannibal halflings, bald dwarves? If you know some scripting (or have Lilac Soul's script generator), you could do some custom "psionic powers" scripts.  How about prefabricated desert or desert city areas?

               @PLUSH HYENA of DOOM:

Thanks for your creatures, if you really want to try a silt horror, I think that their animations should be more or less like the giant octopus or the giant squid in The Community Creature Project (CCP).

               Just an Idea for people who wish to participate but don't know too much about 3d modeling.
2d Items for the inventory, they are just pictures. For example amulets and rings, which are common equipment in D&D. But in Athas the metal is as rare in weapons and armors as it's in Jewels. So what about some leather and bone, or any kind of stone amulets; Or maybe some wood or bone rings.

               I have been working on an updated thrikreen model and a new Crodlu mount. Will post pics later. These are still in WIP stage, but everything seems to work properly in game.webkit-fake-url://BC9D7BE6-8F56-4E75-8CA7-2E844667C479/imagejpeg

               Jenna - Some of my more than ordinarily obvious female clothing stuff is available on the Vault in the "Psycho Vixen Attire" pack... But I've added quite a bit of new stuff in "Demoness Tales" recently, so I really SHOULD get round to updating the Vault release some time... er... some time...

Shemsu-Heru - I thought about the Squid model as an animation base, but I don't think it would work since the tentacles just sort of wipe about on the ground for the most part whereas the Silt Horror would, essentially, more or less always strike from below with tentacles reaching upward. The Aboleth might be a better choice.
I'm experimenting with that very tentatively along with a couple of other creatures too...

I'd be curious if someone could confirm my sound pack works in nwn1. Rolo Kipp told me it probably would.
