This month's challenge is "Masters of the Wild / Let's Make Camp":

Goodies for our Barbarians, Druids, and Rangers. Dire Wolf skins stretching out on racks, Woodland snare/trap models/vfx for our outdoor adventuring,  different campfire placeables with a different hunted creature roasting on top of it.. reskins/remodels of the Uthgardt Elk and Tiger tribe models. New bedroll models.

This theme was suggested by usagreco66kg.

Guidelines:
  • It must be fully working in game.
  • Use of vanilla NWN or publicly available texture is fine.  Just remember that NWN textures must have dimensions in powers of 2 (2, 4, 8, 16, 32, etc.).
  • Teamwork is welcome.
  • Beginners most welcome. Don't be afraid, just try, you'll be surprised!
  • "Custom Content" includes many sorts of things: models, scripts, prefabs (areas, items, creatures, conversations, quests, etc.), sounds, portraits, or anything else new for the game.
  • All submissions must be finished, working, and emailed to NWNCCCMakers@gmail.com (or a non-Vault link provided) by November 1st, 2013 at 10 AM EST. Sooner than that is perfectly fine too. ;-)

Somethings you could include in the download/email that would make packaging everything up easier and faster:
  • 2da lines needed.
  • Screenshot *from in game* for use on the vault page (this also gives me hints on how to display the new goodie). Formats: .bmp, .jpg, .png, or .tga
  • Portraits (if needed) of your new goodie. ** Placeables and monsters should include a portrait. **
  • Inventory icons (if needed) of your new goodie.
  • Any credits you would like listed.
  • If this is your first entry, please tell me what name you would like your work listed under and provide a link to your other NWN content if you want that displayed as well (the link bit is totally optional).
  • Also if you would like an invite to the CC Makers group, send Rolo Kipp a friend invite. The group is nothing spectacular, mostly just documentation on 2da lines.
  • If you are doing tileset content, *please* let me know ahead of time so I can get you the set and itp files to work with. I’m horrible at merging those so this bit you will need to provide.

Remember, the Challenge is all about fun, sharing, creativity, and surprise!

This thread is for all sorts of discussion about this month's theme: ideas for things to make, questions/concerns, announcement of what you intend to make, screenshots of work in progress and/or finished projects.

If you want to discuss the Monthly Custom Content Challenge idea as a whole or wish to submit ideas/themes for future monthly Challenges, please post in its thread here.
***When submitting a new theme, please provide a title and short summary of the theme.***

If you have a technical question about some custom content creation, please create a separate thread so that the answers can be found later by anyone, not just people interested in this Challenge. We'll try to help!

Have no fear and join the fun!

And finally, you can:

Submit theme suggestions.
Vote for November's theme.

Any chance you can make the fur/hide armor available as a robe model for PCs as well?

I've not tried to make robes yet. Not sure if I have the skill set. Here's a screen of the three Barbarians I have, I may try to make a shaman if I have time.

While not exactly on theme, something near it has caught my attention.

nwn is lacking a really solid winter forest tileset. baba yaga's coniferous mountain forest is quite good, but there is no winter version. six's wildwoods is phenomenal, but no winter set was released. I know nothing approximating a decent coniferous, taiga-like woodland tileset.

Also, since the immense awesomeness that was the project q cloudy skyboxes, which captured fog light to add color to skies, I've noted there are no high quality options for mountain skyboxes.

Can I ask for a 3.5 PnP animal companions ? These are: badger, camel, dire rat, dog, riding dog, eagle, hawk, horse (light or heavy), owl, pony, snake (Small or Medium viper), or wolf. Im not really that interested in those to be mounted, but the rest would be really cool.

source: http://www.d20srd.or...animalCompanion

also, the extra animal companions noted on the bottom, would be interesting too

another idea: some kind of tracking system (afaik there is no such system on vault, and afaik PRC havent implemented it either)

Im not sure I can contribute this month, still have unfinished bussiness with other projects...

The heads would also be nice as seperate human PC heads for the dynamic models. '<img'>

When the poll was open, there were some content suggestions but now that the poll is closed, they're lost. Any chance of getting those suggestions/ideas posted on this thread?

Thanks!

All the content suggestions from the poll for October are included in the quote box in the initial post.  There wasn't much suggested for this one, just a general theme.

seems like to me the less specific the theme is, the more cc creators join in. do you think for other suggestions we could always do that?
