               Yeah, nothing quite that involved for my first try. I'm thinking a butcher's market stall with meat and ducks hanging from hooks, some knives on a chopping block, and if I'm feeling really ambitious, some live animated chickens in small cages

               <grins...>

That's actually a pretty ambitious first project :-)
Just remember to post whenever you need:
  • Help
  • Criticism
  • Inspiration
  • Admiration
  • or simply to brag a bit :-)

And master posting images in the forum :-)
I *like* images =)

The Amethyst Dragon, who might possibly be the single most prolific modeler for NwN, started, I believe, simply retexturing things to his vision. I love that big galoot! =) <especially his hoard>
Ixnay on the oard-ay, Bother <right. maybe he'll forget to guard it next time>
Could happen. <don't hold your breath>
*sigh*

Yes, basic retexturing is where I started on NWN custom content.  A few creatures, a couple of placeables, and the game's GUI...all were basically just Photoshop work combined with changing a model's "bitmap" line in Notepad.  I'd never had any experience with 3D model making, or with writing script (beyond raw html), or with organizing NWN stuff in 2da files and haks until I had a need and I found help in the NWN community.

NWN is a game where we can put almost anything in that we can think of, or change almost anything we want.  If you can imagine it, there's about a 95% chance it can somehow be made to work in NWN.

Me, prolific? Maybe. ':whistle:'  Reluctanct with self-promotion?  Nope.

And if you want to see my hoard...that can be arranged.  It's just constantly guarded by four very loud and active wyrmlings, and perhaps a tattling avian (btw, I've finished installing the shallow aquarium for the snails).

               <pointing out a gap...>

You need to add a list of CCC stuff, AD :-) All them monk placeables and the shell game <psst. boss. don't mention the shell game. he might get suspicious>
er, the...the... <snowshoes>
Snowshoes! Yeah! and elven spires and things too heavy to lift... ;-P

And quit spoiling my familiar. She's fat enou... <*raven glare*>
Er, stout enou...<*heavy raven glare*>
Ah, *pampered* enough as it is <hardly. you're in trouble, old man>
uh, snail? <*sniff* *glare*>

See what you started, AD? <begging might work>
*thinks about kneeling* <but probably wont>
*thinks about running* <i'm nearly as fast as a swallow>
European or... <don't even try>
*sigh*

<...and hoping the dragon and the bird are distracted>

               Such lovely treasures to behold... Great work everyone!

As requested, the tomes are now holdable as well. These are based entirely on the good and evil tomes by Rubies. I take no credit whatsoever.

And I couldn't resist one last-minute addition. Pictured above is the aforementioned dragonscale and platinum bound first edition copy of "A is for Ankheg, B is for Barghest," opened to show the C and D entries with the full text in the description.

               That is snazzy! I like it. I'm going to be adding a proper library to my module now, with some kids being read to by a kindly old wizard '<img'>

Bother! Behave, or I'll set Socks the 20lb cat on you! <You must be joking...>
Ugh... great... Okay, Riley? You hate corvids. <I don't eat them, and dog rule number 1 says: Be not like the cat, for it is evil, killing wantonly and torturing its food. Did you forget dogs are lawful neutral and have a set of rules they live by? They're kind of like monks, remember.>
Shh! Mustn't metagame! Looks like you'll survive this one, Bother, my animal friends have decided you're not on the menu.

               <metagaming...>

20lb cat? Almost as big as Horse (probably the funniest strip I've ever read, btw)?

However, I'm afraid Bother,

aka Shadow of Wings Beneath the Vanguard of Storms, aka Lady Stormshadow rather outweighs Socks. <not by much>
You are too modest. <*raven scowl* you're saying i'm fat again, aren't you?>
Goddess forfend! Would I do that? <*fierce raven scowl*>

Smart dog though :-) Cat, too ;-)

<... a bit smugly>
