In NWN Explorer Reborn, you can right click on a model[/b] in the tree list on the left and select "Export as TGA" and it will load the model with your YPR view angle settings in options, etc., and export a screenshot.  Takes a little fiddling but it's not that bad.
...

I have Torlacks source and I'll be trying to work something into my Region Editor.

                <quite happily...>

Ok, another call for help :-)
I'd like to get all the various patches up on the VPP so they are available ASAP.
The current bottleneck is my paltry Starbucks wireless upload speed. So, if you have a copy of some of the patches and are willing, please upload them to the anonymous FTP (no password) at ftp.neverwintervault.org.

Once they are in the anon dropbox on the VPP, I can attach them to the projeect pages (this is the same mechanism you will use for project files larger than 128mb).

To prevent stepping all over each other, please declare a block of patches here and only here:
I am currently uploading (expected to take all day) the three linux clients (about 1.5gigs total)

Anyone for the NwN1 patch? SoU? HotU?
NwN2 English?
NwN2 French?
etc?

               I can grab and upload the three NWN Windows patch files today.

Other NWN patch files I know of, for those looking for them.

               Got the Windows ones uploaded to the ftp address.  I'm going to go ahead and grab the Mac ones, and the German and Polish unofficial ones, tonight and ftp those as well.

               <getting his copper's worth...>

Ok burning up the wireless at HQ. Uploading second linux client now.
You can see what's uploaded already on the Patch Catalog.

Edit: TAD did all the mac clients and I've done the linux clients. Working on the standalone servers (Linux & PC) now.

               Must be my age, but I just realised there will be one thing that I will miss when the old vault does go down. OK, so maybe vanity plays a part (Vain? Moi? Flicks imaginary dust off of top hat:whistle:) but I will mourn the loss of the reviews by the reviewer's guild. I only had the one (for Hrothgar's Resting Place - Review) but it was for my first (and still my longest) module.

Wish they could be saved as well.

               <handing out...>

So do I! At the very least, until someone writes a scraper to do it, you could save each page manually (in HTML format for easier processing) and bundle them up in an archive.

I would *really* appreciate that, as we'll as the other static pages accessed through the left hand menu. Some of my own earliest contributions (an interview and a few quite clever - imonsho - top ten entries) are hidden away in there, along with some great tutorials.

If I have time after migrating the projects, I will work on those, but I simply don't have the time now. I've *got* to save the projects.

               DM Articles and Editorials done so far. Interviews cover 14 pages of links at 20 links to the page, so might take a little longer. Also is there a link to a similar list of reviews?

               <reviewing his...>

http://nwvault.ign.c...ory_select_id=1
and
http://nwvault.ign.c...ory_select_id=1

Edit: Actually, I think I can get acomputerdood's scraper to work with reviews... So hold off on those until I have a chance to try it (Saturday), IGN willing :-P

Unless you want to give it a go? The setup can be downloaded from the developer forum on V2. I think you only need to add the "reviews" category to the list at the top of scraper1 and add in an appropriate "else if" clause in the middle (and "nwn2reviews" to scraper2).

               Here are a few things I won't be attempting to save on the vault either because there are simply too many or because of the way they have been done or because I don't know how to. Pity as the first 2 definitely gave me a giggle and the last one I didn't really have time to explore properly.

item 1 (don't know how)

item 2 (Just too many)

item 3 (mix of all 3 reasons)

And I didn't even know that most of this was on there. Funny what you can find when looking for something else.

               <scribbling...>

Quick update: have a new prep script from Meaglyn and have adjusted the scraper by ACD.

I am now scraping NwN1: Interviews & Reviews and NwN2: Gameinfo & Reviews.

Edit: Grabbed the raw Top Ten pages while I was at it...

               <red skies in the morning...>

As of this morning, I can no longer log in to the admin server on the old Vault.
This may be temporary, but it means I can no longer publish new uploads or large file updates.
The existing pages are still being served, but I have no access to update the site.

I *strongly* recommend using the alternate site of your choice ( the new Vault, the Nexus, etc ) for the time being.

<...fair warning>

               <ignoring the raven's...>

...and, after two hours of "server not responding", I'm in.

Not the first time I've had to eat crow, but my recommendation stands. :-P

               Well, it looks like nwvault.ign.com is no longer in the ign.com DNS servers. One hopes this is also a hiccup, but this may be the day...

               Not sure if its really relevant to the topic, but did anyone think of backing up the old nwvault comic series Generika?

Id occasionally browse it again. Be a shame if somehow all that work of Maximus's was lost '<img'>
