It's a pity this thread got so quiet. I'd really like to know which tileset managed to break cloaks, or anything else but doors.

I took the time to read some of her threads for DA just to be sure i´m right about the intentions. Well what can i say. At least we found a new motto:

"dont you break ma cloaks you people with your tilesets" ROFL

I don't know how it happened, but I swear it did. I tried using some R/C tileset that was extremely outdated, and suddenly cloaks were no longer working properly.

I tried patching it with cloakhakker, but it was still causing other things to not work, such as the merchant and weathered ships in the regular city tileset, so I abandoned using the tileset altogether.

               I feel your pain....

Start simple, and just go one step at a time.

When you ask for help, be as specific as possible, and try to post links for what you are talking about, or at least the official vault name '<img'>

For NWN custom content, it's pretty easy to think x happened, when really y happened. The tileset itself almost certainly did not break cloaks, but something in your combination of .haks, override content, etc., instead conspired to do so. Folks here, for all their chuckling, are always willing to help you figure something out, but need enough information to be able to help.
Good luck,

JFK

I hope you didn't get the wrong impression, TBE. Nobody was laughing at you instead of offering help. We were just slightly amused that you said the tileset broke cloaks. That simply can not be because of the tileset. It can however be that the tileset hak contained more files than are usually needed for a tileset and one of those broke the cloaks.

The only things a tileset can break are doors and textures of tilesets that use parts of other tilesets without renaming them, and of course if it is a tileset addon, it will have other tiles instead of tiles that might be added by Bioware in patches that came after the tileset was made and it will not work with other addons for this tileset unless they are combined by someone.

What Frith5 said is true. If you give the folks here enough information, they'll help you.
There are people here who could help you make an old tileset compatible with the latest version of the game.
You should just ask yourself if it is worth it. There are alot of newer tilesets that look far better than the old ones and are already compatible with the latest version of the game and other tilesets.

Thank you for all the links, I will try them out

Unfortunately NWCQ doesn't work very well with CEP, makes lots of gaps...

"RTC' also isn't up to date so it breaks doors unfortunately

But I will try the others '<img'>

Depends on the tileset. A fair few do, though
