Meh, I can't think of a reason why people would not continue just because Rolo is absent, or even if no one is interested in integrating the projects at the end of the month.
If he were here I think he'd be the first one to start thwapping us with his floppy hat for thinking otherwise or getting hung up on formalities.
If there isn't someone who's interested in integrating everything into one pack, no reason why we can't host our submissions here as individual Projects or on DropBox or Mediafire or wherever. Someone can round 'em up and post 'em to the Vault if they want or people can do it individually. The community will probably do
just fine integrating the content as they choose.
As volunteer artists we have to be flexible and accomodating, having fun and getting others invovled. Having a central person is nice but it's hardly a showstopper. IMO, it's really about people gathering together, crafting and exchanging ideas. Just as people have been doing since the Middle Paleolithic.
I've no idea what happened to Rolo. I miss his voice and I hope he's okay. As to Maximus, I spoke with someone who contacted him in the last week or so and Maximus told them he was traveling and when he came back he would work through the Vault submissions. That's about all I know about that.
It would be nice if someone were interested in at least posting the thread for the month announcing what the theme is and setting up the poll for the next month. IIRC, since Amethyst Dragon said he might be interested in being a moderator here and because he's still regularly active, I make puppydawg eyes at him in hopes he'd consider taking on that role. Baseline to "hold down the fort" would probably require little more than a monthly thread posting, a poll posting, and editing the original thread so people can see the links to the submissions without having to read through the whole thread. If he or anyone else wanted to do more, that's fine too of course.
