Hard not to consider a comeback when the screenshots in this thread take my breath away. Amazing work as always. I'm definitely feeling that old itch quite strongly. In fact I've got the toolset open, but no goodies to play with...YET.

I´m realy thinking about a raise/lower feature for the natural pitcrossers before I go back to the last 2 or 3 grotto tiles lol. Because the possibilities are strong in this one...

thatd be really amazing to see! very transitional indeed '<img'> you should also extend the crosser to work on chasm wall edges!! maybe with 2 crossers and the chance to paint narrow paths up and down the chasm walls

another idea i got for cave style tileset is crosser/terrain, that would allow to mix 2 or more tunnels in the same tiles, but at different heights, so one runs below another, for example, and with a raise lower or different crosser/terrain type give the different tunnels the chance to meet in very dark crossroads

I'm really glad you're working on a cave tileset, Baba Yaga, because your spider caves is one of the best tilesets I've seen. One thing that makes it so good is that it is focused on being a spider caves tileset, but unfortunately that also makes it of limited use, because it only works for spider caves, not for others.
This new caves tileset however can be used a lot more often than the spider caves. Everybody needs a caves tileset now and then.
Keep up the good work!

               sen:
Lots of good ideas. The chasmledge crosser was a long time plan for the forest cliffs too... There they already work and here you go:

The underdark version will be different but i know the technical way and  started with them before thinking to rework the lake/grotto so they will make it in 101% in after a first release. The 2 tunnelsystem sounds interesting too and I realy  need to make a list of all the cool things you all suggested so far. Thanks all again '<img'>

zwerkules:
The Spider caves (which I realy love myself) becomes an independant subset to these caves. It is so much bigger in already available content and scope "thanks to sen and the neverroofers" where I have an easy play with set and itp work.

I love your work Baba Yaga! where the %$#@ is that forest tileset!? with the walkable cliff edges?! I must have missed the link on the vault! '<img'>

its amazing when you think that inside all these terrific artists ( such as yourself!!)  computer is a veritable mountain of unclaimed unseen WIP's and half-projects that I bet *any* one of us wouldn't mind taking as is!! with no complaints!

*well until we start using it and beg bleed and borrow you to expand of it further! hahaha*''''

I got a question for you, Baba: Will there be holes in the cave floor like in the spider caves and those niches in the cave walls? They are one thing that makes the spider caves tileset so good.

Unfinished business is a real problem for me. That forest is like i said a big beta build that had endless beginnings. I think the first started back in 2006 and always evolved into something different? Means practicaly i have to many folders called "forest_"lol! Whatever...I learned to focus on smaller projects and release it as to hold back and build massive beta builds of no real use:D.

I havent decided yet how i will use the spidercaves for this one zwerkules. Sure we need a few things to make a connection but how far i´ll take it... who knows;)  But I consider it.
