Door Jammin'
« on: May 15, 2012, 07:30:14 am »

I seem to recall a very long time ago that there was somebody talking about making reasonably sized doors.

I think the idea was to make part of the 'door' a non-animated frame, and then have a shorter, slightly narrower door with a handle at proper height. That would swing open or closed in the placed frame.

I can't find anything about it, but often, it's just a matter of knowing the right word... anybody have a clue?

the uber pathfinding was the reason why i gave up on that idea. But it was just a test anyway. So many things look out of shape by bioware´s default... Tom banjo did a few good doors for PQ almost exactly as you describe. I recall one arched door with a dark wooden texture.

probably just using double doors and lowering the handles would work well enough for making them look like they were built by humans too.  There are a few double doors kicking around too.
