Copy a tile
« on: April 14, 2012, 03:13:34 am »

I have been working with Sens Seasonal Tiles for NWN 1.  They are quite amazing if you have not already seen them.  They allow you to change from summer, to fall, to winter, to winter with snow by adding haks ontop of the current ones.  But what I would like to do is take his seasonal trinity set of 4 haks and copy them so that I may have one set that is winter all the time.  I have tried NWN tile duplicator and had it rename all the files from tri to tra but that left me with a tile with a bunch of holes in it.  Does anyone have any ideas on what I am doing wrong or what I can do that would be easier?

This is a direct link to the tile:

and here is a copy of the vault page:

It is true: Trinity is a fantastic piece of work. This season-changing-idea was awesome!

I'm not sure, if this is, what you're looking for, but ATM I'm seperating this set: Worm's seasonal forest + Sen's addon, to have a winter, summer, fall, cobble only. These will then work as sepeperate tilesets, so this changing of the seasons by changing the order will not work here. They are ment as "permanent" sets. Advantage is: They are much smaller and load much faster.
Will publish that in a week or so on the vault (all 4 are finished, but I want to do one more goddie, which is not in those sets, yet).

Another way may be (though I have not checked that) to extract the Trinity-.set-, pallette- and edge-file and give them a new name, throw them back into that hak or a new top hak. You have to edit the setfile eg. with notepad. The setname "inside" must be the same as the file itself.

Hope that helps.

I will give what you are trying a shot and see if it does what I like.  I cannot do the set file idea because the existing moonsea tile that it is stealing it from is not always in winter.  So I would need one to be exclusivly winter.

Ok I looked over what was done here and it is not really what I am looking for.  I am still unsure where to go next.  I have been able to fix the holes by putting the original set file back in and just renaming it, however I cannot get it to turn winter.  Im not sure what I am doing wrong here.
