               <nods...>

@ Shemsu: What TAD said.
This theme is focusing on the base elven race, not subraces *tries to scowl at Pen*

@ Pen: *that* being said, if it can be used for both, *I* don't have a problem with it <he means you're just squeaking by, vibrant ;->
Of course, if you wanted to make a swan-wing variant of that cloak of shadows you've been talking about... I'd probably be willing to give you another crack at Cestus' goodies =)

Edit: I'm really liking that twig-flute with the butterfly on it... *looks at Cestus' sour scowl and sighs*

<...off (tired much?)>

Nice ones, Rolo Kipp.  More good ideas to draw from.

I have started a Moose mount. I may be wrong but i thought it would make a nice Exotic mount for the Elves.

excellent, draygoth. I've been wanting that for a while now.
I tried setting up the moose as a mount, but it didn't look right, especially without a saddle.

If anyone can update the textures of the awesome, awesome norse pack moose and elk, that'd be great. '<img'>

Holy cow.....I am familiar with Mucha, but not familiar with the jewelry and furniture.....

For a guy that was active in the turn of the century, these pieces look like they came out of a fantasy film about elves....

Ok, Roly Poly, I can take a hint. <>

Good thing I like your idea of the Cloak of Souls.

And besides, I don't think I'm quite there yet with the clothing ''

So I'm making a shapeshifting, winged cloak that varies appearance and properties based on the alignment of the ELF that wears it:
  • Raven Black for evil-doers with lots of stealth and evasion abilities
  • Swan white for goodie-two-shoes with true sight and protection/resistance abilities
  • Dove Grey for dancers on the edge with a little of this and a little of that.
How does that sound? '=]'

I have some images of elves who dress more like adventurers, but also elvishly if anyone is doing clothing and wants some inspiration.

Not sure where the swords are from... I just do searches for images.

Here's a look at some new placeables I whipped up today.  10 shiny twisted spires, each in small and large sizes.  For the full sized screenshot, click here.

Seriously, can we get rid of the auto resizing to 540 pixels?  It's rather sad.

As Rolo hinted at *pauses to bonk him on the head* I'm going to attempt some music this month.  I've never done such a thing so ignore any screaming or crashing sounds that may come from my computer room.  *grins*  That isn't the music...

So I'm thinking something light and whispy, probably with pan flutes.  I'll have to see what public domain music I can find.  *rubs hands togehter*

@Cestus - *chuckling over Cestus getting all dwarf grumpy*  The stones sound really neat.

@Rubies - ohhhh going to record some of your own music?  What sorts of weapons are you thinking of?  Bows?  Daggers?  Something totally different?

@Z - *grins and steals his blinders*  Ohhh look at the nifty theme this month Z!  *cackles*

@Pen - I sense much death and destruction of cloth while you figure out how to make the outfit do what you want.  *eyes dancing*

@Jenna - Awesome inspiration pictures.  Thanks.

@Draygoth - Moose, too funny!  I can't help but share the image that went through my mind when I saw you were doing mounts... The DLA Treant with a halfling sitting in the branches.  Not elven I know, but what a crazy mount that would be!

@Shem - Great start on the head, his distinctive scowl is clearly seen.

@Purple One - That was FAST!  I love that you made two sizes of them.

*panting slightly*  I think I caught up.  Maybe.

A couple hours, I think.  Would have been a little faster, but I had to redo the outermost curved parts on the original one because it was just a little too blocky for my taste.

Really, if doing size and color variants like these, once you get the first one or two done, the rest of the work flows much faster.  I took a few minutes to resize the original spire (scaling it up to 300% and moving pieces up out of the ground after the scaling).  It took about 90 seconds for each color variant after the original model work was done.

They're a little "heavy", but that's the price of trying to show halfway decent curves in NWN.  Each model weighs in at a beefy 247kb after compiling.  The texture files are much leaner.

Haven't done portraits for the spires yet.  I figure I'll wait until closer to the end of the month for that, in case I decide to make anything more (save the boring work for last, I say).

I guess not.  540 is as big as it will let me go.   I guess you could always make thumbnail links  33x15http://i49.servimg.com/u/f49/12/49/97/77/elvenp10.jpg[/img]
