setting up 3ds max 2010
« on: January 22, 2012, 08:49:38 pm »

Is it me or does the search function of these boards suck...........

Anyway guys, hoping to learn (relearn) a few things.
I have a fresh re-install of win 7 x64.
Fresh install of 3ds max 2010 in 32 bit flavor.
I kindof remember some stuff, I know I need nwmax and veltools.

So basically please point me to the latest versions that work with 2010 to get this ball rolling.
Also if you have a setup similar to mine, advice/pointers are welcome.

Would NWMax Plus v2.04.10 from MDA be the latest/best nwmax to use?

Thxs in advance.........

For a fresh install of NWMax under 2010 I think you'd probably want to use this installer from the NWMax download page.  Or you might also want to take a look at Michael Darkangel's NWMax Plus, here.  It's a reroll of NWMax with some bugfixes but also some changes.

Here are the links for veltools:

Some video instructions here on installing and updating VelsTools for GMax but the instructions are generally applicable to 3ds Max as well.

Clicking on the Max logo in my sig will bring you to the NWN1 3D Studio Max user's group which has a few tidbits you might find useful.
