LS - LPT Tree
« on: October 29, 2011, 12:58:14 am »

               Here is the most recent tree I modeled. It as 954 polys and uses a custom foliage texture I created. The tree trunck is the one of the default tree trunck textures in the NWN resources.

               While I'm not a fan of the textures (or the Rural tileset look in general, unfortunately), I have to say that is quite awesome.

               those do look very nice and im quite impressed by the detail. they seem abit too high poly, but thats just from glancing at them.

If you choose that route however, id suggest a moving dynamic type. One that sway in the wind. id really like to see one like that!

               Wow! Nice!

Any more new textures there than on the trees?

But yeah...like Six said...that tileset and unfortunately have many shortcomings...but you're no magician I guess :-P

               <easily getting...>

Oh, sweet!
954 polys? Global mapping instead of planar?
Whatever it is *works*!

Came up with this for the Fall version Screen #1, Screen #2. But I might still tweak the texture a little bit.

I appreciate all the great feedback from all of you! '<img'>

As for the Vault submission, not before I make a few more models. I only have this one model
in 3 different seasons... hardly a hackpak.

P.S. Which means I'm dumpping the other tree models I previously created as they use almost
twice as much Polys and are not as great. Well I may add my gnarled Big Tree  I modeled a while
back with some modifications.
