Ahhh! Advanced Playing Techniques :-) Do you know how few people look where I point instead of at my finger?
<you forgot, didn't you>
Some people need me to drop hints and suggestions like a trail of breadcrumbs.
<absolutely slipped your mind>
And some people can't even do that much, but have to be taken by their hand and...
<old-timer's syndrome. yup>
...
Ok. So I *may* have lost focus just a little bit...

Oh, go eat a snail >:-(

               Started a Citadel terrain. Not really feeling it to be honest. But considering the time restraints (both of the month and of my busy busy life) it might have to do.

               I actually like the Citadel, only thing i think might be cool is, looks like you have lava planes below the floor level, if you had the edges not mesh completely up with the citadel walls it would look cool.

in other words..it should look like the citadel is bursting out of the rock, so there will be a gap bewteen floor and citadel wall, with the lava bubbling below.

Very clever.
Especially the deliberately transposed spelling that  would cause unexpected results for anyone who tries to steal your spells.

Your "might have to do" is great :-) You can almost feel the superheated air blasting up from below! Even if it's just a mini-tileset, I can already see uses for it, myself.

@LoW: I'm pretty sure that's what he's doing. You can see the how the broken edges don't reach the citadel, with the yellow-white furnace directly below.

I can already imagine it reskinned for the four elements :-)
The Keep of the Four Worlds:

It lies at the crossroads of the worlds of the four elements, where it
rises from the earth in flames, assailed by the winds and waters.

was a scene in the Amber series I always thought would be... *challenging* to model.

Heh. :-)
Hard to work "eh" into the persian cuneiform ;-) Just as I represent the glottal stops of Mordant and Pyrellian languages as apostrophes, so do I wiggle the sounds around a bit to fit the alphabet I think most appropriate (and *all* demon-working uses Mordant - without the Mordant Monks, the world of Amethyst would be a lifeless, blasted cinder).

Also, The Rule of Three is particularly important with V'rax'l, so scribing three sigils thrice is, um, significant :-)

               Generic citadel, really. Though it is a bit on the bronze side.

               The atmospheric feel of that is superb.
