I use a 64-Bit OS Win 7 and have never seen a sanity check like that. I use 3ds 7 with NWMax 8 (the last pre MDA release). My guess would be it might be an issue with Max Plus and 3ds 2011. Hopefully Six sees this, he's on 3ds 2011.

I don't think he has the proper permissions setup for 3dsmax.  That is what the error is, it is not even the real sanity check error, just the fact that the system can NOT create the sanity check file at all.  So, that needs to get fixed prior to being able to determine what the actual sanity check error is.

I get a similar error message when I click on 'view sanity check'.
I am using Vista. At first I couldn't even save files in the gmax/Scenes directory where it wants to save the files. The really bad thing was that I didn't even get a message that the file couldn't be saved.
I only found out when it wasn't there. '<img'>
If you want to save files into that directory, you have to give yourself access rights to that directory. You don't have access to a directory of a program that you installed yourself without giving yourself that access. That's Vista (and probably windows 7, too) for you.
The sanity check file also can't be saved because of wrong access rights. I don't know where the file is supposed to be saved to, so I haven't given myself access rights to that directory yet.
I always use a workaround. Instead of clicking on 'view sanity check', I press F11 which opens the max script listener which also shows the results of the sanity check.

               That makes sense.

And for information purposes, the folder necessary is:

C:\\3ds Max 9\\Scripts\\NWmax\\sanity

Of course, depending on the version of 3dsmax you are running.  Basically it is located in "scripts\\\\NWmax\\\\sanity" so wherever your version of nwmax was installed, inside that sub folder section, will be a "sanity" folder.  All sanity checks end up there.

Edit:  Which reminds me... nwmax does NOT clear out that folder... I just found about 400 files in mine...some from well over 2 years ago.

Based on what Zwerk and Bannor further posted, I offer this...

Turn OFF Windows UAC (User Account Control). According to Microsoft, UAC WILL (AND DOES) interfere with "older" programs. What Microsoft won't tell you is that it also interferes with ANY program that wants more access than UAC is designed to allow.

I maintain the tech where I work. We have UAC OFF on all systems. 99% of our software issues are fixed.

My max11 was causing problems. Version 8 seems like a hyperjump in terms of loading times. I like it. Regards everyone. Models run smooth.

Thanks dude. Extra assets will be available on the Vault soon. (loading screen, "Hidden Away" composition, and an area prefab). Here's video:

Hidden Away

I really like nwn 1. Next step is making something for Nwn2 community but I'll certainly come back here if time allows. Nwn engine and toolset are brilliant even though graphically they don't support bump/normal mapping (it would be incredibly hard I believe). There's something really sweet about stylized fantasy games (as opposed to photorealistic).

NWN does support modern shaders when it is hacked. Check out NWShader.

I see and I apologize for mistake. If I hacked it with NWShader would it be useful to majority of NW Builders? What numbers are we talking? Hope I don't sound too silly.

I don't know the numbers, but I think overtime those numbers are going to increase. Also, anything that you make work for NWShader still works for vanilla NWN.

As far as I am aware, NWNCQ is NWShader ready, and some Project Q assets are as well.
