I know this is a long shot, but, is there an override version for ttf?

Baba I just cant wait; what do you think of adding an animesh to the water (you know just like tno seacliffs)?

I have no experience with the animesh water and i dont know if its worth in the end (timewise) so for now i just plan to replace the ttf water later on and add here and there some random  splashemitters to create some mood. For the deepwater terrain this could be very cool indeed;)

ive been experimenting animesh a bit, if youll decide to add something like that just tell me, explain its behavior its kinda easy and quick to add to a water plane '<img'>

But why would the water in a forest move? There could be ripples on the surface from the wind, but there are no waves to make the water rise and fall.

Streams flow downhill.

So do rivers.

That is what Sen is thinking of creating/doing, giving the illusion of flowing water, not so much waves or tides.

But that's not what he said. He said 'like tno seacliffs'. The animeshes of the seacliffs simulate water that rises and falls. Water in rivers or lakes wouldn't do that.

Yep, you are correct in what he posted here, but he had been "chatting" with me via msnmessenger about this too, which is where my answer came from.  The stuff he showed me, and what we discussed, was making crossers (rivers/streams) flow...

Sorry for the confusion on that.  '=]'

I think the secret is out. You can animate texture (eg to scroll a water texture) via animesh. What's more, it's also really easy. Although you need to be pretty clever with mapping to get it to look natural.

aye what I meant was adding a small amount of vert animation to get rid of the static geometry: basically as in tno seacliffs, but drastically toned down to reflect a more peaceful environment; not saying using animloops you set non animated as default and different degrees of wavyness in the 3 available animations, from light to stormy! after all, who said that forests dont grow next to seaside? that said there is a lot that can be done with animesh, its easy like the very easier animation to set up, and the effect is awesome, so as Bannor said rivers... falls, lava falls... i think dla tno tiles are bugged and the animesh cant be turned off but it is just a bug. im just saying there is the animesh options, since we managed to have it work! ill post my experiments in 3dmax builders group so to avoid offtopic in the awesome Baba addon topic!!

Imo this whole water/ animesh discussion deserves an own thread since its very complicated. And sen could you please post any results you have? thanks
