OldTimeRadio, that is a sweet recreation of Megaton from Fallout 3. Great work. I love Fallout 3.
Thanks! At this point it looks
far better than it plays, walkmesh-wise. I'm hoping to have a big enough chunk to fix that sometime this year.
I have access to Max. I'll get the other stuff.
Being able to use Max makes a huge amount of difference.
What I'm hoping is to be able to make a copy of a group and take out the stuff I don't want. That way I have both groups available. I suppose this means it'll be a new tileset at that point?
I may be putting my foot in my mouth, but if that's kind of how the changes will be confined, I think you can just add your new group to the .SET file, add the .SET file (along with the new models & the .ITP) to a HAK and all you'd have to distribute is the HAK with the changes. I'm assuming this is for a PW or something. This sort of thing is quite doable with the Tile Set Creator, but I recommend you watch the tutorial videos that Velmar produced for it. You kind of have to pay attention because in the tutorial he meanders around a bit in the middle segments.
If you wanted make a new tileset to make this (and presumably other) changes in, I think
LabTek's Tileset Duplicator is still what most people use, unless they take the route of doing the renames by hand.
edited to add ITP to hypothetical HAK contents, hat tip to Winterhawk
