               Can't really help you there.

I don't need/want someone else being in control of what gets installed on my computer, so I never really bothered much with the self installer options out there.

If you browse these current threads, there is already mention of one from the NWN2 world that supposedly works with NWN1 files, so you could investigate that option.

As to other sites to host files, there are literally thousands of different places to store files on the net.  Yousendit.com is one that I occasionally use and is free if total file size is less than 50 meg I think... above that, the person sending/sharing the file has to purchase an account but folks downloading still get the file access for free.  There are many other sites like that out there.  Skydrive provided by msnmessenger is another one.

               You have my permission to repackage as much or as little as you like.
I agree, you send it can work....also you could repackage that file using a more common exe like winzip or winrar...and if your just doing 1 file it would be bigger but more likely easier to distribute for your players.

You can also create your own vault submission and post it as a (1) file but you will have to contact the vault admin (beyond the pale if I remember) to allow FTP access for files larger than 25MB.
not a huge ordeal its just that sometimes it takes a while longer then one would like to get it up and ready for download.

               Well i sent a email to maximus via the vault asking if i could upload a tileset that was 1 mb instead of 4 25 mb files.If he approves ill come back here and mention it because i really dont know how to make those other files into one file.It seems theres aalys something i dont know about computers.

               You should get a response from him within a few days and then your good to go.
a nifty trick is if you already have a submission (anything else) have him add the file to that submission page, the result is it would be avaialble immediately, otherwise if its a new submission it will have to be approved first which in itself can take up to a week sometimes.
