               You folks are welcome of course, many of your investigations and discussions are what make the Omnibus so useful! Thank you all for your help in getting this topic stickied!

               I have to say I panicked a little when searching for an answer and google led me to the splash page where the forums used to be. I cannot say how thankful I am that others exist that have loved this game and toolset for as long as I have. Thanks again to OTR. I must also shout out again unrelated that I am glad Axe Murderer is back around. '<img'>

               WOW!!! Thanks for your efforts, time and dedication that went into this. I am happy to see that NWN 1 is not completely dead [slow maybe] and people are so much still into creating/developing/etc and still coming up with AWESOME tools and things for this game!

Thanks to you and everyone else who continues to create these sort of tools.

               Holy crap, OTR! You've been busy. Had I known you were secretly Santa Clause when we were talking last year, I would've asked for something better for Xmas, but this'll do! This beats warm fuzzy slippers any day. You've practically created the ultimate tome of knowledge. "The Grand Grimoire". It doesn't contain the secret name of God, does it? The power to undo all creation shouldn't fall into the wrong hands, particularly mine! Seriously though, obscure movie quotes aside, this is just fantastic. Many thanks for keeping this information available.

It's stuff like this that keeps me coming back to NWN. I swear this game is like a fine wine, and people like yourself are making it better with age. I salute you.

                <violently shaking...>

Is anyone else having trouble with the Omnibus under Win7/Java 7u7?

*click* *busy pointer* *not busy pointer*...
(watching the process list in task manager, docfetcher loads and... exits)

I just updated my Windows 7 test system to Java 7u9, restarted, and didn't have any problems.  Just be sure that you're starting Docfetcher.exe as the method of starting it.

Did that work for you?  Anyone else having trouble?

I use 32-bit Java on my Windows 7 64-bit machine and that might make a difference.  Java recommends using the 32-bit version unless you explicitly use a 64-bit browser (or presumably have some other need to).

               <hating the idea...>

I do use 64-bit browsers :-P But I am a java is a couple updates behind. Updating to 7u9 now.

Edit: Uninstalled IE(64), Firefox(64) & Java(64)... Stay tuned...

               <looking...>

Removing the 64-bit version of java did the trick.

Does that mean DocFetcher is using 64-bit calls when it should be using 32-bit? (Both Java's were installed). At anyrate, Omnibus is working again...

               You are grumpy this morning!  '<img'>  From the skimming I did on the Docfetcher forums , it seemed as though Docfetcher just used the 32-bit Java.  I admit I don't really know how Java is invoked, though. Glad it's working for you again!

               <shining a new...>

Docfetcher 1.1.7 (*Very* much improved) has just been released.

Highly recommended upgrade to the Omnibus.
I have the portable version installed and my entire "Reference" directory indexed. Works great with Java 1.7+ and Win 8. Edit: Also supposed to work fine on Mac :-)

HAs anyone uploaded the Omnibus to our new home yet ? I think we need it to give newcomers a thing to read about custom content creation.
