Placable Lag?
« Reply #75 on: January 13, 2011, 11:51:14 pm »

One, though the difference is likely to be miniscule (my main reason for that preference is simply to keep object count and area file* size down, as well as simplifying adjustments while building). I generally wind up using several large and filling in other spots with smaller places anyway, to keep the placeables' centers on the area tiles.

Funky

So in the case of a placeable like the 4x4 water. Is it better to use 1 of those that crosses grid lines or 16 individual 1x1s?

In my opinion I think prob. be the one that is 4x4, less number of object to keep track of and it has no walkmesh blockers and low polys count so should be fine.
Oh and on a side note I have real wave water placables sitting on my old laptop that I be releasing in the future. Rolling waves and waves with crest emitters.
