Well, part of the trouble is that when I did a google image search for chest bandages all the female images I got back were post-breast-surgery!

I'll try out your suggestions and get back to you.  (Maybe not speedily, as I'm in the process of upgrading my laptop to Windows 7 64-bit.  I do hope all my NWN things still work afterwards, otherwise I'll be confined to my desktop...)

I think the issue is that the men are not wearing a shirt, so the bandaging on skin works perfectly, whereas the women can't really get away with that as easily. I like how they look, and however you do it will be good as always. I wonder if one more wrap of cloth, below the breasts, might give the impression of a bandage a bit more... Still, they look good to me. Context is everything too, so seeing them used in a module would make them much more effective, I think, just as they are now.

Anyway, great stuff!

Thanks, JFK - maybe one extra bandage around the middle (linked to one of the others at the top, winding down) might do the trick.  :-)

I hope I'm not the only one who looked at the wounded/bandage torsos and thought "hot". :wub:MOVING ON, I'm not really too happy with my hospital tools but I'm probably going to send them as-is to TSL so I can get on with animating these stretchers! '<img'>

Woah, those are great, Rubies. Brutal and creepy great, I mean. '<img'> Damn sawbones anyway, eh? Plop down a warhammer mallet (anesthesia), and you have a surgeon's table full of 'goodies'.

Nicely done!

Wow, Rubies - those instruments are amazing! '<img'>  Scary-painful stuff.  I'm eeping just looking at them.  ''

Not my intention with them at all!  In fact, I made the male version of the wounded torso for a very grim and horrible moment in my module (it's been lying around in my module-specific hakpak for ages; just had to make a matching female version for the Challenge).  Although I wasn't going for that reaction, judging from Lass's post you're definitely not the only one to see them that way!  *privately wonders if she needs to make the one for her module even more messed up to stop players thinking "wa-hay!" when she wants them to think "arg argh no ack"*

Actually, your surgical instruments might help on that front.  They're certainly sobering to look at.

New bandaged female torso.  Better?  More work needed?

I really like the back of it, but the front looks... oddly neat. Maybe it's just me being insanely picky - in fact, that's probably what it is. '<img'>

I respectfully disagree with Rubies, I don't think the front is particularly neater than the back.  That said, the whole crop of bandages could benefit from a little bit of blood in places maybe, to indicate that there are injuries underneath.  That said, it looks awesome as-is.

I like this version a lot. I looks to me like a woman with bandages somewhat hurriedly wrapped around her wounded torso (and an arm wrap too). It is a field dressing, which means quickly applied. Looks great!

Thanks for the feedback!  Since the bandage geometry seems to be relatively okay I can now work on adding blood and maybe a couple of half-healed wounds and scars in a few places.  Could possibly make two versions: one where the person is nearly healed, and one where the bandages have only just been put on and they're still quite badly hurt.

And, by the way, as with the males (which I've done for all races just without showing you) I'm going to flip the bandage geometry along the x-axis for half the races (and maybe take away a strand or two in a couple of cases).  Gives a bit of variety if you have a lot of characters in a hospital.

Looking good Este.  =)  It is a tricky balance to keep her naughty bits covered while still looking like the bandages are doing something.

Status update on where we are at, 1 week past the deadline.  Yes, that was a gentle poke at people.  *grins*  Realistically, I can't see posting things to the vault without Six's tileset group.  Yes, that is 'cause I'm a lazy butt and don't want to make a demo map then have to remake it with the new tiles.  *sassy grin*  So once y'all see that Six has posted his tileset group, then expect the gentle pokes to be not so gentle.

Builder_Anthony - Hot Poker - no files received

Estelindis - Body Parts - no files received

Jez_fr - Gore - Jez sends her regrets but she will not be doing these after all

JFK - Stretchers - files received, 2das updated, and material all merged into the hak

JFK & Rubies - Two Person Stretchers - no files received

Mistress - Icons - files received and merged into the hak

Rubies - Hacksaws - *sheepish look* if she sent the files, I can't find them.

Six - Tilegroup - no files received

I'll re-send the medical tools once I get the stretchers animated completely, as I realised that I didn't do their icons after sending the first bunch - I'm so smart. ._.

In the meantime, I added one more medical tool as it was essentially finished anyway.

*snags the files from Rubies*  Thanks.  I'm eager to see this extra weapon you added in.

Well... it is almost the end of January, how are things coming along?  Lets shoot for a deadline of the end of the day Feb 3rd, that is a Thursday.  That will give me Friday to pack stuff up and, if there are no significant snags, get it posted to the vault for the weekend.  Sound good?

I'm having a bit of trouble with the knockdown+death animations (it's a little difficult to make it look... not silly when there's two people getting knocked down while holding something), but hopefully I'll have them done today. If not I miiight just leave them out, since they don't have combat animations anyway. '<img'>

New surgical mallet by Rubies (along with her other goodies).  I am SO not getting hurt with you anywhere near me, Rubies!
