               Um, yes - though I just updated the pic with some slightly higher contrast on the twisted/coiled metal.  Thank you; I'm glad you like it.  :-)

Detail is not really that big of a deal...  As we have discussed before, it always comes at a price in terms of texture size.  ;-)  Here we have a 256x256 neck texture, for instance - 128kb is the file size.  Not everyone will be willing to "pay" the size-cost when they could add a couple of heads to their haks instead.

               The torc looks really good. But then, I'm always up for more choices in NWN jewelry.

               Yeah, really. I don't see how adding visible jewelry like necklaces and torcs is in the slightest bit a bad idea. So far, as far as necklaces go, we have what, one rather odd-looking medallion and this tribal looking chunk of metal that hangs around the neck? More proper jewelry would offer players all kinds of versatility.

               As I'm trying to give my current project a Celtic feel that beautiful torc is a real gift from the goddess. Thank you Estelindis. '<img'>  '<img'>  '<img'>

               Well, I'm glad so many people like it.  I honestly didn't expect it, since the Celtic aesthetic is in certain ways a bit more rough and ready than standard High Fantasy fare.  So thanks, folks!

I'm practising aikido pretty much all weekend, but I'll be sure to post my next piece when it's done.  (Though not before making the torc work for all races in both genders, of course.  NWN Armoury helps a ton, but one must still make certain adjustments oneself.)  The current plan is for another necklace, a bracelet, and an armlet.

               I'm curious. What with the rarity of hand-models and the fact that they're often so small and difficult to really get a lot of details on, how difficult would it be to create hand models with rings on the fingers?

               Kopesh looks great!  Other ancient weapons?  Hrmm, as the greek/roman theme seems to be getting a lot of love, something similar to the sword used by Leonidas in "300?"

A re-done sling model? (Doesn't get much more ancient than that!)

Hungarian style horn bow?

Estelindis: The Torc looks great! fantastic idea! More more more!! :-)  And agree with Gleym, a few hands that happen to have a visible ring could be rather useful as well.

               We need something Chinese all up in here.  They're one of the most accomplished ancient civilizations, and yet there's nothing for them in NWN.  There's some Japanese stuff, but nothing Chinese.

WTB a Jian!

               The sword used by Leonidas, or a very similar one, has already been made by someone else, (in a Greek weapons and armor pack).

I recall there's a Jian in the CEP, but I'll check this out.

The horn bow might be a good idea, I'll look into it.

@Estelindis

Awesome work, I like it!

Jewelry is something really missing.

               Nice torc, Estelindis!

Eradrain, I was thinking about making a few Chinese buildings, but then chose to make Roman buildings because the Chinese buildings would have taken more time to make '<img'>.

While I was working on the kitchen of the roman buildings (or rather the shop of a cook at the ground floor) I made these pots and pans.

'Posted

Do you think they'd be useful as placeables?

               Beautyfull stuff all that's been shown =)
I agree with the need of more jewelry pieces as neck, hands, but even fore arms and arms (maybe feet to?). Some slaves collars and manacles would be usefull since slavery was so spread in these times?

@Xialya: how about some Gaul love? =)

@Estelindis: superb piece =)
Would you mind reworking a little the pseudo shadowed color of the neck so it match the torso?
I never understood why bioware made the neck so dark compared to torso color. Right below the chin it's about fine, but elsewhere it should be same shade as torso IMO. Just a suggestion! =)

@Zwerkules: really nice stuff, but I'd like them more rounded. The 2002 look of rounded object made of 6 or 8 sides/faces really doesn't appeal to me anymore, about 20 sides doesn't add so much polys but on the other hand really looks better. Of course its a personal choice but really I feel like its time for custom content to evolve toward a higher polycount (within reason of course). =)

Noooo! '<img'> That's 1:0 for you, Mistress. '<img'>

Anyway, the Roman building is freaking awesome nevertheless.

               Xialya,

I do build my own bows, and have put together a few horn/composite bows. If you need anything for reference, let me know.

               Jez, I could make them 'rounder' as placeables, but I made these for a tile so I used extra few polygons and still that kitchen stuff has 433 polies out of a total of 2031 for the whole tile. So the polycount for the tile is already pretty high and I can't use more polys for the pots. I don't see any problem with using more polys for the placeables though.

               Actually a pile of leaves would be a cool placeable
