Troubles with CEP 2.3

               Hi, I just got back into playing nwn and the server I was going to play on screamed at me wanting cep 23_v1.tlk

Well I went and downloaded CEP_23_Full_C.7z from nwnvault. Extracted it from my NWN folder and I didn't get that particular file. I got the 21_v1 and 22_v1 but not the 23. Tried simply changing the 22 to a 23 which got me a little closer except then the server told me I was missing other 23 hack files. 

The updater won't let me do anything because it says I don't have a CEP version 2.1 or higher installed. Which I do. Any insight on this? I can't play all that much online without the CEP files seeing how most servers run it now.

What I'm thinking about doing is downloading the 2.1 version and trying to use the updater and just update my way through everything.

Honestly that is the best way to do it as no offense to the Vault as I love what they provide, but dling the CEP 2.3 full has never worked for almost any of our new players but dling the 2.1 and running the Updater has worked for all of them.

               hmm... well I downloaded the 2.1 version. Extracted it, and the updater still says that I don't have 2.1 or later version installed. So I still can't run it. So right about now the only way for me to get these files is if I'm somehow able to download the individual files of what I'm missing.

               There are links to the individual files on the CEP v2.1 Download Page. However, I didn't run into any problems downloading and installing CEP v2.3.

I'm looking at CEP_23_Full_C.7z on my hard drive right now and there are four files in the \\\\tlk folder:
cep2_v1.tlk
cep21_v1.tlk
cep22_v1.tlk
cep23_v1.tlk

If you are missing files then the archive you downloaded is corrupt. Sometimes that happens to large file downloaded from NWVault. You can try downloading it again or try getting the individual v2.1 files from the link above.

               hmm.... well ok then. Seems that the process for the 2.1 exe just kind of sat in my background for a long long time without doing a thing. About all it did was asked me to overwrite every darn thing I had, but at least the updater is working now.... seems like too much work to have had to download a later version and spend 2+ hours waiting for the updater

Yes, I had thought that maybe a few files got missed in the download. But seeing as it took me an hour to download the thing I wasn't wanting to redo it unless I absolutely needed to.

               It will sit there a very long time, that's normal.
