erm well, forgive me the weird turtle title '<img'>

So this month we will try to give support to the commoners. Original idea was about Commoner's clothes, but as it is rather demanding we will extend this to anything commoner's related. That could be tools, portraits, voicesets, placeables, well anything that could be usefull or fun that's related with commoners!

Rules:
- it must be fully working ingame
-
use of vanilla NWN or publicly available texture is fine, though
state-of-the-art amateur's work would require 100% original work, but
that's up to you.
- Teamwork is also welcome
- Beginners most welcome, don't be afraid, just try, you'll be surprised!

All submissions must be finished, working, and you must provide me with a download link before October 31th, 2010!

The Challenge is all about fun, sharing, creativity and surprise!

If you have concerns/questions about October Challenge please post in this thread.

If
you want to discuss the Monthly Custom Content Challenge idea as a
whole or want to submit ideas/themes for future Monthly Challenges please post in its thread here.

If
you have a technical question about some custom content creation,
please create a separate thread so that the answers can be found later
by anyone, not just people interested in this Challenge. We'll try to
help!
Have no fear and join the fun! ':wizard:'

And finally, you can vote on next month's theme, link below! thanks =)

Hmm... Commoners have to eat, right? Many of these dishes are from our Germania area. The chocolate... well that was mostly cause a girl can never have too much chocolate, even in game.

A jack-o-lantern for those that were hoping for Halloween to win.  '<img'>

I made these icons many many moons ago from images off the web.  The art work is not mine.  If that is acceptable/within the rules, I'll bring the food to the party.  *grins*

*edited several timest to get the image to show and add the art work is not original*

How about some creepy commoner models then? You know, the kind that lives secluded in sleazy mountain villages, gives strangers weird looks, slams the doors and shutters in their faces, cackles or makes cryptic and ominous comments, toothless and hunch-backed, faces contorted by madness or fear? Or how about .... undead commoners? Ah, a shame that six isn't participating...
''

Or missing commoners of the monster races? Wifes and children, artificers, humanoids without wargear?

Would anyone have any objections to my submitting the outfit based on my pirate ghoul last month as this month's entry? I'm going to number it as the male version of Lisa's first (slightly more revealing) long commoner dress. It may be kinda cheating, but it is going to take a while before I get chance to finish it properly and iron out the last clipping issues.

This is what it looks like prior to skinmeshing the arms and texturing the boots properly.

I'll have to install a new copy into another folder of NWN as my PC models aren't really compatible, but I'm definitely getting in on this challenge. I'm... not really sure what I'll be doing just yet, though. If it's clothing it'll probably end up being female orientated, I have to say that now!                Any suggestions would earn my love. My initial idea seems rather pointless as everyone else is doing clothes/has done clothes too. '<img'>

               Placeable clothing!

Piles of pants, shirts, hats, hanging dresses, racks of coats, lines of boots, clothing dummies. Background eye candy for clothing shops!

FP!

Not at all, we can't have all our commoners dressed in the same outfit after all. Although if I might I'll mention that there's more of a lack of good male outfits than female so I'd suggest that if you do put something clothing related together you maybe do it for both genders.

FP's idea sounds pretty good.  If I have time after adding a few more bits to my pirate outfit, I may try the placeable clothes.  (I have a clothing shop in my module that would love such things.)  I'm also thinking of adding some extra variations to the tavern terrain from the city interior tileset.  That's kinda commoner-ish...

Yes Jez, they have transparent backgrounds.  Though looks like I unknowingly violated the 'only new content' rule.  It might be a good idea to have a short, sticky, locked (so it does not get huge and thus defeat the purpose), post so those new to the fun can easily learn what the rules/guidelines/purpose is. =)  I'll start a new food thread rather than spam this one.

Clothing placeables is a wonderful idea!
