Wasn't doubting your skills.  But you know how it goes, always have to point out the obvious because the obvious is the easiest to overlook.

New version now available -- same location.

Fixed an issue with tile mainlights not importing or exporting the proper value for ambientOnly.

Newest version is now 1.09.26

Thanks for watching,

               More bugs squashed.

Tile mainlights were not being created properly.  Other helper objects were not being placed properly if you did not center your modelbase.

New version is v1.09.27, get it here -->> NWMax Plus.

Also Available

NWgMax Plus v1.09.27

Thanks to IxionReborn another bug gets squashed.

This time when attempting to import a binary file you would receive an error message about nwnmdlcomp.  I didn't have it pointing to the proper directory.  This issue only affects the 3DSMax version.

New version available v1.10.07, get it -->> here <<--

Thanks

You have not updated the download link, it still points to version 1.09.

GMax version is still 1.09.27.  No recent changes have been made to that version.

This recent fix applies only to 3DSMax and that version is 1.10.07.

To lessen confusion in the future version numbers have been placed in the titles on the download page.

I'm bumping this because I'm interested to see updates, but also to know if presently its safe to replace usual nwmax with Plus (at least for all basic operations).

Thanks! ^^

Unfortunately, I've been having problems getting any export functions to work while running NWgMax Plus. The same issue doesn't happen with the older NWMax for Gmax, and I haven't tested the 3dsmax version yet.

Six pointed out an issue with the Robe Scaler, so I'm going to try and look into that this weekend, and I have a few minor fixes that I found in the "Plus" section.  So an update of some sort will be coming soon.

I would love to hear more specific details.  I hadn't noticed any problems when testing myself, but then again gMax is not my primary tool, so testing was limited.

Thanks for your support

Uhm... I'm actually quite a novice when it comes to model tweaking (and everything else for that matter...) but, I usually just do little fixes, like changing WOK faces in tileset models, or merging some models for wings, some creature resizing and tileset placeable merges... nothing too fancy. So, I've been reading the thread and find many problems with the Plus thingies. Say, is it safe enough for me to use them for simple tasks like the ones I mentioned, or is it better that I wait? I mean, I'm not as tech-savvy as you guys seem to be, so I doubt my experience would do much for bug fixes...

Most definitely the safer version can be found on the Vault.  Second biggest reason "Plus" is not on the Vault, it's not yet fully tested.

However, I do believe "Plus" does the basics very well.

               A couple mini updates.

NWgMax Plus v1.12.08 -- Fixed an issue with the "Plus" Pivot tool not working.

NWMax Plus v1.12.07 -- Fixed an issue with the "Plus" Pivot tool not working.

You'll also find you can now import The Witcher model files.  This section is still a work in progress, but it was easier to leave it in for this update as opposed to removing it.  It works with Max 8, which means it should also work with Max 9 and newer.  However it has not yet been tested on Max 7 and older versions.  At this time, it will not work with gMax.

Thanks for your support,

Hi Michael,

The download link for the gmax version of the tool doesn't seem to be working for me. I'm clicking the title link and getting the message, "We apologize for the inconvenience. The page you are looking for has been removed."

Looking forward to testing this out!

I use the Gmax NWmax tool and wanted to be clear the NWmax version is:

GMax version is still 1.09.27.  No recent changes have been made to that version.

This recent fix applies only to 3DSMax and that version is 1.10.07.

To lessen confusion in the future version numbers have been placed in the titles on the download page.

And the download page is for all the work you have done?  If I understand corectly there is GMax and now a GmaxPlus tool right and you have made improvements on the NWMax tool that goes with Gmax thats version 1.09.27 and a improved tool for GmaxPlus NWmaxPlus version 1.120?? right.

I'm a bit blury eyed should get of the PC not following well Forgive me.
