Looking fantastic, and I agree, definitely get to work on the corset before making anything else.  Corsets are win.

I'll see how it looks with narrower shoulders, Six.  I'll also try modifying the texture and moving around a few verts near the collar to make it look like the topmost thong is loose or opened.  :-)

Eradain, I've already started working on the corset.  It's certainly fun, though time remains to see if it'll be win.  :-D

Thank you both for the feedback.  :-)

Edit: adding cool ideas from Frith5:

How about making a genuine Jolly Roger flag, hoistable?

A NWNish Jolly Roger flag added, now with torn counter parts. I got a few more ideas lined up like a ghostly skull with "hot rodish" flare. Any other ideas for flags are welcome. Ill see what I can finish up tomorrow. I'm commuting out of state all week and probably won't have much time left for the deadline.

That's a good variety of flags, Dark Defiance.  The second from the left is my favourite.  :-)

Here is the first draft of my corset.  It's just the chest part; I haven't gotten around to the optional straps via shoulder parts.   There's a bit of clipping I need to deal with where it meets the pelvis at the back, and the texture on the cloth part could still use some work (I need to put a tie at the front, among other things), but I might as well get whatever feedback ye can offer, no matter the primitive state of things.  ;-)

I haven't worked on the Dread Pirate class some time, but I wil finish it until thursday don't worry, I would like to ask about CEP/PRC/Q compability anyway. Should I use (tlk/2da) lines unused by all of them or it does not matter? Should I merge 2das myself?

That's looking pretty fantastic, Este, particularly the texture work, even in an unfinished state.

I'd say make sure to use unused .tlk lines (Q uses between 20501 and 21000, don't have a clue what it is that CEP use nowadays), as it would take a lot of work for people to make compatible afterwards, and there are so many 2da lines availible it doesn't really make sense not to. 2das are easier to merge, however, as several of them will be named uniquely after your class anyway, and there'll be fewer references to shuffle around. Though I still think compatibility would be nice.

You could also keep both versions (one with the broader and one with smaller shoulders), more variety is always good to have.

So far I think it looks really great, it could be useful for a variety of clothing from pirate/swashbuckler clothes to commoners/workers outfits which is very good.

Well I submitted my stuff (more then what is in the screenshots). Sadly my job is taking more time away from me before the deadline.

As it was my first challenge and being a CC n00b, I enjoyed doing this!

Thanks goes to the more season CC veterans and to the players who are keeping NWN alive and well. I look forward to this CC release on the vault!

Thank you for the feedback on the corset, folks.  I am still tweaking a few things with the torso - then I'll try my shoulder strap idea.

Kendaric: I agree.  However, even narrowing the shoulders will be a function of how much time I have left.  But if commoner clothing is chosen for next month, I'd at least have the basis for a variation for that theme!

I may be a bit late mentioning this, but since I only just realized it would be important... the shoulder nodes are parented to (and thus animate with) the bicep nodes, not the torso. So while the shoulder node strap idea may work alright, for things like combat animations where the arms at a significant angle from the body I'm not sure you'd be able to pass it off.

That corset top is awesome. But then... I'm predispositioned to like girly corset things. The rest of the work in the thread is quality too. I'm learning how to use poser to create 3d scenes right now, so who knows... maybe eventually I'll be good enough in it to make NWN content.

Thanks, Six.  I didn't know that about the shoulder nodes (though I really should have).  Guess I'll have to make them neck parts instead!  That's a slight pity, as I was hoping to get around to making a pretty necklace neck part eventually, but I can always do that separately.

Glad you like the corset, Jenna.  :-)

I've unwisely left mapping and texturing to the last minute. Here's a quick render of the texture work I've done so far; I'm not happy with either my map or my textures, and it's likely that I won't finish the pirate chest in time for September's challenge.

Unless I'm hit by the inspiration to spend more time on it tomorrow, I'm out of this one. Sorry guys.

On the other hand, everyone else's entries are looking/sounding great!
