*Izk humbly crawls out from under a rock*

@Lazycat_1984, if you're still around, thank you for your interest, and stay tuned.

@lordofworms, thank you for the compliments. As a fan of your creations, I consider it high praise, indeed!

@henesua, thanks for the enthusiastic compliment! I wish I still had time for my module, because those AI packs in your signature sound like something I would enjoy using. If "Light Shy creatures" works the way it sounds, I'd definitely recommend it for some of my critters!

A hearty hello to everybody else. Looks like I'm back, yet again. You'll have to excuse the extended absence. (Stuff) happens, priorities change, you know how it is. Last year got a little "challenging" for a while. At one point I had even decided I should just walk away from my NWN stuff, because I kept worrying about getting back to it when I really needed to be focused on other tasks. Bah!

I've had a change of heart over the past couple months, about many things. On a personal note, I've decided I need to pursue my "real life" art career again -aggressively, before I get any older, and before my current job crushes my spirit completely. I'm going to have to set up a website and online gallery, among other things. In the process of planning what I'd need to do for all that, I suddenly realized how valuable the time I've spent on NWN really was. I seemed to have acquired a lot of skills here, including shameless self-promotion, and showing my work for public critique, two things I was never very good at in the past. I've also made some interesting friends here, other creative people from around the world, even corresponded with total strangers about wildly imaginative projects, and developed a lot of interesting computer skills involving digital media, especially Photoshop. Not a bad start, really. I've left a lot of unfinished business here that I feel the need to get back to. I gotta finish this stuff for my own sake, and to show my appreciation to those of you who've helped and encouraged me over the years. I'm surprised at how many of you are still around. That's probably one of the reasons I keep coming back. It's like a never ending party.

I'll most likely be asking for some real help this time around. I won't have a lot of free time to devote to this stuff in the future, so I intend to make whatever time I do have count. I still have to go through things again and figure out what really needs to be finished, and what's good enough as-is. I know there were a few things beyond my skill level that could use an expert's touch, like a couple animation issues, for example.

Well that's more than enough personal revelations and ranting from me for now, hehe. I'll post more on here once I get a better handle on things. I now feel the need to browse and lurk, and see what everybody else has been up to!

Thanks for the warm welcome back, guys!

@henesua, I did see your comments on my skybox Vault page sometime last year. Sorry I couldn't take the time to respond. Once I get some other things out of the way, I'll have to get some feedback from you about the issues you encountered. Skyboxes are a low priority right now, but I still have a couple unfinished ones I'd like to add to that set someday. If there is something that needs fixing, I can do it then.

@Pstemarie, glad to see you're still around too!

@Izk: it may be that most of my issues are videocard related. So don't worry about it too much. I'm more interested in seeing new skyboxes than having you fiddle around with the old ones.

@Nicotine Caffeine, thanks, but I'm not as skillful as I seem, not compared to some of the other folks around here. My 3D modelling skills are comparable to someone trying to fix a radio with a hammer IMO, hehe.

Just musing out loud here, but after a year away from my projects, I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by it all. I'm not getting discouraged, but I keep having these "holy crap, I can't believe I made sooo much stuff" moments, which of course, still need to be organized into a proper hak with all new 2das.

Fortunately, there's also the "holy crap, I forgot I did that!" moments, spurring me on. I wanted to share a couple of those "re-discoveries" with you guys.

Chandigar's Gothic train and tracks, converted into placeables for an ancient subway using Maxam's classic Dungeon:

The monodrone face is actually a creature the player can interact with, though getting it to stay put in the train was a little tricky. I had planned on giving it all a more aged appearance.

"Out-of-phase" ghosts,, with animated texture. Not sure what I was smoking:

Lighthouses, made from the one in CEP (shown on left):

Raven Redux (made from a seagull):

I'm especially pleased with the raven. I got to push my limited skills a bit, and I always wanted a better raven for one of my characters' familiar.

The last thing is something I've actually released, though it's part of a "niche" pack that's not getting many downloads. I don't mind that, but I consider this one of my favorites, so I'll have to include it in another pack just so it gets more use somewhere. It's a little graphic:

Lol, wish I know how to fix radios with hammers like you '<img'>
Cool the Out-of-Phase ghosts, remember an incarnation of the interference that you can see with no channel on the tv. (but your mutant-chronicles soldiers are always the top. In fact with your stuff you could make an ambientation in nwn of mutant chronicles. The Locomotive would fit really as well)

Ah, i almost forgot, after have seen that trick of the tail, i was wondering: neverwinter nights 2 in the appearence 2Da has the option to scale the models (nwn2_scale_x/y/z) and neverwinter nights can do the same after all... Could be possible to make the nwn engine to scale directly the models like nwn2?

You should see what I can do with a chainsaw!

Those ghosts are meant to look like TV "snow". Also, I had never really heard of The Mutant Chronicles before I made the InHumans, which were for a module I had been working on, as was the train. Then I caught the show on the Sci-Fi channel, and was shocked. They stole my idea, hehe! A lot of the ideas are similar, complete with the ancient underground lab. I suppose the Fallout games kinda did it first, but they didn't have that ancient cryptic feel to the whole scenario.

Oh damn, I am liking that train and the ghost

Now if only I knew how to script, that ghost would look awesome semi-transparent

Thanks for the compliments, though as I mentioned the train is Chandigar's. I just stuck it in a dungeon with the custom monodrone. It would be possible to make the ghost transparent right in the model, but I tried that with something else I made that had an animated texture, and it was a little laggy. I think I prefer it this way. It's also self illuminating, meaning the texture is bright, even in dark areas, though it doesn't put out any ambient light.

However, with the trick of the tail that told me tyndrel, if u put the animation of "invisible creature n.XX" the creature added as tail will be semi-trasparent...
