No, I love the comments and advice, so never fear giving it. '<img'>

I think I'll keep pretty close to the cushion shape I have now, though. Based on my reference images, and more importantly, on my real-life experiences, it's actually quite close to an accurate shape. What you have is a board with the top wrapped in very slightly padded leather, so the corners are pretty pronounced. That said, I think rounding those corners might look more natural to people, so I'll add some rounding to them, but not a lot. I might 'puff out' the top a bit, and maybe add some deformations, but again, in life those cushions are pretty flat and, let's be frank, unforgiving. '<img'>

When I was a boy (yes, long ago), our church still used a kneeling bench and communion rail, and I recall to this day that the padding was by no means plush. So, the boxy shape stays, but is softened along the top corners (the bottom corners are gonna stay sharp, where the leather is turned over them with no padding at all there). I will for sure though try to work on the texturing. Thank you for the great advice!
I use Photoshop CS4, by the way. For the cushion, I'm thinking about trying for a more leathery look to the material, but I don't know how to go about that.

Thanks again,

JFK

That is awesome Frith. I would even use this to replace the standard "lecturn" placeable. I do have one suggestion or maybe more of a curiosity. That definitely looks like its meant to hold a holy book or what not. But I don't think there are any placeable books that are angled to sit on top of it. So I suppose I'm just wondering if you were planning on putting a book on it or maybe create a sister placeable book that one could set on top if they wanted. Or maybe even a set of these that are identical except for whatever is resting on top(open book, closed book, holy scroll, relic with chain hanging over the edge, etc..).

Either way it is still fantastic and useful for more than just a high priestess' chambers.

I'm so jealous of all of you and your modeling talent. I've opened up gmax a couple times and just bent the crap out of the teapot then got frustrated and went back to scripting something.'<img'>

Thanks, GoG! Yeah, I figured on creating several accessories for this placeable. I don't want to put them on it by default, as I think it'd be better for a builder to decide what book (if any) or holy symbol ought to be on there. I'll likely produce at least a couple of holy symbols (Ilmater, and maybe Torm),  a closed book for the shelf beneath, and an open book. The open book will not be identifiable as any singular deity, so should be usable by all.

Now,  when I'll find time to do this is anyone's guess. Pesky work and rl stuff, you know. '<img'>

As you can see, my swan bathtub still needs a lot of work. The neck has to be connected to the body, the wings and the tail are still missing, as is the water and the foam. And I also didn't make

any textures for it yet.

That bathtub is really cute, Zwerkules.  I look forward to seeing the textured version!

Ya doesnt look to bad without all the other detail.Maybe you could leave the water level a little bit low in case someone wanted to add something inside of it?I guess thats your call.

All looking great. I particularly like that lecturn, JFK, although the texture could probably take a little bit more work to look less like a bad photo if you know what I mean - the flash from the camera is quite visible there. Jez's suggestion of making it more yellowy is a good idea too.

I've got half a mind to do some more work on my shrine thingy now, having rushed it a bit as I was about to go on a mini holiday at the time...

Edit: which I have now updated. Now added some animations, and added further details such as a curtain to brighten it up a little - also by setting it to "deactivated" you can remove the candle entirely, to free up the altar for any treasure or divine artifacts might fit there. Incidentally, due to some of the lighting settings, viewing it in NWN Explorer won't show how it will actually look ingame, so you'll need to get it in toolset first.

nice updates Six =)
Would it be possible you make the curtain as embroidery? =)

@Zwerkules: cool swan '<img'>
I'm not sure about doing the beak a different texture than the rest though. My personal taste (which is very... personal ^^ ) would say to keep it simply as the rest. Anyway, nice job!

Most of the swan bathtub is finished. I just have to work on the textures. What do you think, should I finish the wing texture with the feathers or should I use a simple marble texture for the wings?

well, if you mean finish the feathers as you have them in the top shot, i would say, it would need some serious reconsideration.  Wing feathers go lengthwise along the wing, not top to bottom as you currently have them.  Maybe just a line or 3 along the wing, a darkened or lightened marble line... no fine detail there as that section of your pool would be kept fairly smooth just due to folks climbing in and out... fine details would get wiped away in real life really quickly.

The same can be said regarding the body, the feathers would run lengthwise, from front/neck to the tail.  They won't be large, except for the tail area, so you could figure a bit there, but it probably would not be necessary.

Spend your time on the head and neck, most especially the eye area.  Give some detail there I think.

               Looking good!

I think texturing some feathers onto the wings would look pretty cool, myself. As Bannor has said, (and you probably already intend), I'd take a look at an image of a swan, noting how the feathers are arrayed close to the back. But I do think having a texture that adds some 'detail' to the carving on the wings and tail would pop out the shape.
All in all, this tub really looks luxurious. Cool!
