Frost giants also have arcane casters among their ranks. Storm giants as well. Their are also exceptions to every rule '<img'> Take good drow for instance. To me that's the best thing about DnD. It's yours to do with and shape as you wish.

Vampires and Zombies and Giants ....Oh My!

Let me start for apologizing for putting this in the wrong area to start with. Now, the idea behind this challenge is something I haven't seen in my many NWN adventures which has spanned many pw's and modules. This idea could be a one time shot for the CCC Challenge or someone(s) could take it a step further and create a hak pack full of undead giants for potential builders. Some examples of undead giantkin could be some of the following:

I was thinking this theme might be more inclusive if it allowed for any Necromantic-themed additions, rather than just creating a bunch of unique monsters.

I will say that manipulating vague themes into crazy stuff is one of my many skills. So I'd say go for it

Course I'm gunning for Elder Scrolls at the moment, as the end of the words is ALMSIVI

Hi, I am new to this and can't (yet) make any content myself but I do have some ideas for the challenge. If some were posted before I am sorry but i didnt read all the before posts

My ideas:

The show must go on!: Theater, carniaval, freakshows. I was thinking decor placables, masks, throwable rotten tomatoes, ridable people in a horse costume.

Specialty classes: special items/armour etc for the specialty classes or new feats or specialty classes.

Monstrous commoners and females: monstrous townspeople (eg. orc, lizardman, ogre, goblin... think mysteries of westgate) montrous towns/villages, goblin, orc children and females

I don't think we are in faerun anymore: wizard of oz. yellow brick road tileset, flying monkeys, tin man etc.

Honey I shrunk te adventures: think of the adventurer as insect sized so giant mice and for instance a tileset giant sized interior or exterior. Small sized items as weapons (eg a needle sword)

In light of recent news, a Discworld theme could be a sweet gesture.

I have experimented a little with what it would take to create a Giant Castle tileset. For me the main issue is that too much scaling would render it non-useful as a tileset. Hence I settled on creating bulky elements that are just large enough to make the player feel small. I think a x1.5 scale may be sufficient for this, if I use a bulky wall base, thick columns, large steps, &c.

More potential themes:

"One Ring to Rule them All"

Content based on the works of JRR Tolkien, including the 1970's Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, the ICE Rolemaster Middle Earth Role Playing Supplements, and Peter Jackson's Modern Movies.

"The Eternal Champion"

Content based on the works of Micheal Moorcock, including the Melnibonian Mythos Elric/Stormbringer Saga, Jerry Cornelius, Hawkmoon, Corum, and other incarnations.

"Thieves World/Nehwon Mythos"

Content based on Tales of the Vulgar Unicorn Series (and could potentially include Fahrad and the Grey Mouser Nehwon Mythos, as similar/related genre)

"Things that should not be"

Content based on the works of HP Lovecraft, aka the Cthullu Mythos, featuring Elder Gods, Ancient Servitors, Dead gods best left dreaming, and artifacts beyond the realms of sanity...

New suggestion -

Lost Lands and Hidden Valleys

It occurred to me that I couldn't recall any content that related to the mythical continent of Atlantis in spite of it being quite a popular subject of fantasy movies. However as I think that Atlantis on its own would be too narrow a field to attract enough attention on its own, I decided to widen the field a bit. If you think there aren't that many just look at this list on wikipedia. Below is a much shortened list of such places.

Avalon

Atlantis

Aztlan

Baltia

Biarmaland

Hy-Brasil

Brittia

El Dorado

Hyperborea

Lemuria

Mu

Shang0ri-La

Thule

What I am proposing is that content could be created based upon any of these mythological places. As an example a house made of gold for El Dorado, a harmonically soothing piece of music for Shang-Ri-La or an ice based sfx for Thule.

@TR

Perhaps that, also, could include Troy. Now a days we know that Troy was real once, but for many centuries it was considered a mythical place too. And something like the Trojan horse would be a great addition...

With that suggestion we are into the realms of lost cities such as Great Zimbabwe, which I have no objection to. Of course we would then need to rename the suggestion to Lost Lands, Cities and Hidden Valleys.

Last week, i was taking a bath... And somehow began to think of CC Challenge. Being submerged in water, my thoughts were dragged to wrecks, boats and pirates. Yes, we already have a Pirates CCC... But, do we have its essential counterpart: Ninjas ?

- Ninjas, Samurais and Kung Fu masters:

All you can make with connections to fictional or historical Medieval Japan (and chinese) Ninja worlds.

Ninja Weapons, Ninja characters, ninja hoods, Kung Fu clothes, traditional samurai armor, special ninja spells, Ju Jitsu kimonos, training placeables, dojos, tatamis, japanese wood castles, Bruce Lee paraphernalia, ShaoLin monks, shrines, etc. etc. We could even borrow ideas from the many existing martial arts Manga (Naruto, Bleach, name your own favorites...).

@Shemsu-Heru

Yes, i know about this particular challenge, and some oriental wares created in that CCC are indeed useful in a Ninja context, but i think it falls short of the Ninja/Samourai/KungFu target idea (what i propose is not a "Japanese" or "Chinese" flavored CC). If you like we can rename it Oriental Challenge 2 to signify some complementary work was previously done, but this name alone sounds a little too vague. Maybe reformulate the proposal another way:

- Ninja, Samurai & Kung Fu masters (Oriental Challenge 2):

All you can make with connections to Ninja worlds.

Ninja characters, Ninja clothes, Ninja moves, Kung Fu clothes, special Ninja spells, Ninja Weapons (different from Oriental Challenge 1), Ju Jitsu kimonos, Dojos, tatamis, Bruce Lee paraphernalia, ShaoLin monks, shrines, etc. Feel free to borrow ideas from the many existing martial arts Manga (Naruto, Bleach, name your own...) and movies (Bruce Lee's, Jacky Chan's, Kungfu Master...).

Any ideas, opinions welcome.

Timestuck

I just thought that we can use some timestuck creatures, like distant dragon ancestors, ancient more feral and bestial version of orcs, ****** erectus or neandthales, maybe some fae halfway transformed intro and elves or some giant squids and snakes (fact from history, in one point of earth history lived a snake long 12.8 m (42 ft) and weighed about 1,135 kg (2,500 lb; 1.1 long tons))

It Came From Future!

Reversion of the previous suggestion. Maybe minflayers (from what i have read in some worlds they came from distant future) brought on their ships some black passagers, something that was like future version of rats or bugs, maybe their enemies found a way to go ofter them or some unlucky wizard opened portal to future, allowing some of those thing come trough.

Not of This Time

I thing that best way to do it is to merge previous two suggestions intro one.
