               Not wishing to put a dampener on this idea but I would be very wary of doing something that is directly related to a current commercial software product. I could definitely see the legal department of Bethesda Softworks getting involved. I don't think they are as encouraging as say CD Projekt Red (The Witcher Series) are.

<edit>

By current commercial software product I mean that it is possible to buy all 5 Elder Scrolls games (including add-ons) as in September of 2013 Bethesda released the "The Elder Scrolls Anthology (PC DVD)". To quote the blurb from amazon uk ->

"For the first time in the history of the award-winning saga, experience The Elder Scrolls® as one extraordinary collection. The Elder Scrolls® Anthology features all five critically-acclaimed games, plus official add-ons in a premium collectible box set - beginning with The Elder Scrolls: Arena and concluding with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition. The Anthology also includes a set of five physical maps detailing Tamriel, Iliac Bay, Morrowind, Cyrodiil and Skyrim. Own this essential collection and experience the series that defined the open-world genre."

               But if that were true why hasnt anyone said anything about the star wars franchise for neverwinter (which now is owned by disney who im pretty sure are rather protective towards there products) or the neverwinter anime servers naruto and bleach.

Or perhaps the amount of content that was created for lord of the rings servers as well as a few blizzard content (wow, warcraft, starcraft all have custom content with neverwinter tacked onto there names)

Not to mention some creators have used parts and pieces of the Skyrim universe in the making of there models, here in the community (the male ranger from Masters of the Wild uses skyrim iron armor, as the new Duerger made by draygoth28 use Daedric and Dwemer armor pieces) social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/191/index/17255578/1.

I dont want anyone to worry, so maybe we could check with the authors of those models to see if clarifies as ok to use. If it doesnt then they may have to remove their content. it seems Elder Scrolls already incorporated itself into the custom content challenge.

Id hate to see that entire challenge be removed, all because of one model

id imagine bethesda (or Zenimax for anyone who doesnt know) would be happy (or at least intrested) to see some of its franchise grow beyond the use of there development kits (related link herewww.gamefront.com/skyrim-creation-kit-available-on-steam-go-get-it/) which was designed to be released as a public sandbox for developing content to there games.

And from what i see, no one in our community has violated any of there terms, but i could be mistaken '<img'>

               a good midway for this is to always stay away from popularized items or exact copies related to that universe (ex: dont make an exact model of the Elder Scrolls troll and rip sounds straight from the video games)

I tried my best to compile a list that would include ideas and suggestions. My thought was to inspire something that isnt exact, but a likeness in its affect

               Here's what I'm going to be adding to my list of possible poll options:

The World of The Elder Scrolls: Its always a good go to for high fantasy. Content based on things like Imperial, Dwemer, Bonemold, and Daedric armors. Perhaps Daedric or Dragonbone style weapons. Various artifacts like Mahrunes Razor. Marrowing/Oblivion/Skyrim style creatures. Night skies filled with auroras and nebulas. Nirn-style subraces such as Nords, Bretons, Dwemer, and White Elves.

               @Tarot Redhand Sorry man, i didnt mean it that way ':pinched:' i apologize i was hoping to sway between a midway and hoping to have us both see a common ground.

i know alot of creators and server owners who are always on the edge of disregarding ideas becaues they are afraid of something like copyright infringments.

i say its perfectly acceptable! ':wizard:'  but neverwinter nights is such an old game, im quite sure those companies wouldnt mind seeing their franchises into this game (if they knew it existed at all) heck i even thought about makin a Duke Nukem game(oh yeah 'B)')

@TAD
I like it! thank you so much, i mightve forgotten to add a description. And i like how you worded it, So if you didnt mind i added onto your origional description

"World of The Elder Scrolls:A high fantasy roleplaying world. Content based on things like
Imperial, Dwemer, Bonemold, and Daedric armors. Perhaps Daedric or Dragonbone style weapons. Various artifacts like Mahrunes Razor. Marrowing/Oblivion/Skyrim style creatures. Landscapes filled with giant mushrooms to beautiful Night skies filled with auroras and nebulas. Nirn-style subraces such as Nords, Bretons, Dwemer, White Elves and insdious Daedra."

               Just putting in a suggestion here, don't know if there's a process or anything to making these.

But I think the Wheel of Time setting would be a fantastic contest subject (One that I might even get into myself)

Wheel of time has a long and storied history on NWN, frequently influencing some of the most popular NWN servers throughout NWN's past.  Not only that, Brandon Sanderson has recently finished the very last book, closing out the WoT series.  A huge 14 book mega-series that no one but Robert Jordan(RIP) could have dreamed up.

               I've got another one:

Nyambe - African Adventures http://www.atlas-games.com/nyambe/

Nyambe is a vast land of exotic creatures and wide expanses, where ancestral orishas cry for brave tribal warriors to carve out the hearts of foul mchawi wizards, and where dragon-blooded sei sorcerers once joined the fierce Amazons of Nibomay in the bloody Rebelling Time to win their freedom. This campaign setting for the SRD rules brings together high fantasy and African myth, legend, and history in a landscape of epic proportions.

Content could include African arms and armor (including clothing), African-styled placeables, holy symbols for the Orishas, African-style heads, fantastical creatures from African mythology (such as the demonic ngojama, the vampiric tyerkow, or the reptilian unthlatu), mundane African animals (elephants, hippos, rhinos, giraffes, wildebeests, baboons, etc.), and classic tropical D&D monsters that have yet to be made (jackalweres, carnivorous plants, giant frogs and toads, tasloi, bonesnappers, kech, dakons, loxo, froghemoths, hybsil, werecrocodiles, and so on).

               I would like to request a new CC be held for the category of "Weird Furnishings" This might include:

Rolled up carpet with lump in middle, with animation option to wiggle some. (DM/BUILDER can add blood if they want to but wiggle is a CC thing). This is essentially a TRAPPER creature from DND, after it attacks, before it attacks it is mostly indistinguishable from a carpet. Scripting to swap the two out and 'bag the nearest PC' is easy to add given such a lumpy carpet object to give the end visual.

Piercer creatures - to fall from above and if hit a PC can be made to leave bloodstains on spot and knockdown, else, the scuttle away best they can.

Gibbering Mouther anyone?

Walls that bubble, or have other freaky transforms like oozing blood or growing leaves. [Legion_XXI requested]

a staff that transforms as to a snake or a rope etc. [Maharella requested]

banquet table that animates from full of good food to rotted food.

towels on a rack, animation to allow appearance of recent use/dripping wet [Sirenes]

goblets/glasses that can animate to 'empty' on use [Noname_zombie]

a table that shows use (e.g. no anim is full table banquet, animation is fade to empty plates and carve remains).

Furniture covered in fresh white sheets or dusty sheets based on animation state (to match existing furniture items)

THANKS MUCH for considering.

Be well. Game on.

               Trying my hand at compressing and summarizing...

Weird Furnishings: Placeables and items that change or move depending on animation state (or changed via scripting if changing from one object type to another). Classic D&D dangers like trappers and piercers. Walls that bubble, ooze blood, or grow leaves. Tables that are empty, are full of freshly made food, or have leftover scraps or rotten food (depending on animation state). Goblets or other dishes that change filled state via placeable animations. Furniture covered in fresh or dusty sheets. Items like a staff that transforms into a snake or rope.

               TAD,
Yes, thank you.
Want more? How about a throne of hissing vipers? or a pharaoh-style throne of gold with an animated viper on the crest/back? Can we have a statue that subtly-slowly changes where it is looking? How about a statue that is animated to be covered in ivy? Maybe some trees that flail at those nearby with their branches? Fruit trees that are bare of fruit but leafy in normal stage but loaded with fruit if animated? Likewise corn? fruit bushes? Can you give me a tree root that animates to trip? What about a battered door that wafts in a wind as its animation? Clothes hanging from a clothesline, where animated it appears to have been caught in a breeze, otherwise, limp/wet? Any chance we could have a 'chariot' as a tail option for a horse? A cloud version of the rural castle tileset (so I can make cloud castles of sorts)? While I'm at it may I please have more holy symbols made of imagined icons rather than historic or D&D setting specific? You know, generic lightning bolt, or pole mounted cloth standards, or an alpha or omega or basically made-up equivalents of such basic symbols?

THANK YOU for considering it. Just some ideas I wanted to pass along. Keep up the excellent CC.

Question, any chance this CC Challenge material will find its way into the next or future CEP?

Be well. Game on.

Sure.  Someone just has to suggest a specific piece of content (or offer it up) on the CEP wiki or CEP forum, then we've got to get formal permission to include it right from the author/creator (if he or she didn't first offer it for inclusion), then people get a couple weeks to vote on including that piece of content or not...then we can start the work to add it to the CEP.

There's a few things that I offered up a couple years ago.  Since I'd given my permission for inclusion by making that offer, I put some of those pieces up for voting on the wiki.  So the process for adding new content to the CEP has begun, with some content from the CCC.

Long time in replying to this, but can you do up a short (2-6 sentences) summary/description for this theme?

And a couple of edits and additions:

Changed title and added text from a later post:

Transforming Objects: Placeables and items that change or move depending on animation state (or changed via scripting if changing from one object type to another). Classic D&D dangers like trappers and piercers. Walls that bubble, ooze blood, or grow leaves. What about a battered door that wafts in a wind as its animation? Clothes hanging from a clothesline, where animated it appears to have been caught in a breeze, otherwise, limp/wet?

{ Suggested by ehye_khandee }

New one combining one suggestion with my own ideas:

Holdable Objects: D&D is full of items that can be held in hand that are not weapons. Why not expand on what's available in NWN? New torches, sceptres, generic holy symbols (lightning bolts, alpha/omega, small pole-mounted cloth standard, etc.), horns (and other instruments), crystals, chalices, flags, figurines, fishing poles, or even...severed heads! Models, icons, prefabs, scripts...lots of potential for creativity.

{ Suggested by ehye_khandee and The Amethyst Dragon }
