Commoner clothing is lacking in NWN, I might be tempted to finish my uber-project for NWN if I had some commer clothes... or just more clothes...

Some other month, I guess. Maybe I'll be done with my other projects in a few months and be able to participate.

Do we really need more halloween stuff? There's plenty of it in Project Q already.

Of course we do.  It's the best holiday of the year and could mean additional undead and other things... like pale master garb.  I've been looking for a pale master exoskeleton breastplate for years.

I think we could do with a lot more generally creepy content. Blood stains and whatnot aside, a lot of what went into Q's halloween pack was explicity halloween related (masks, pumpkins etc) and while useful for all sorts of out of character or festival related things, isn't as versatile as some of FP's great suggestions.

I wonder if I could twist mori's leg into making more creepy trees - the one he made last year is pure brilliance.

@Morikhan: thb I don't see the need of a 2nd vote, as if a theme isn't chosen it just postpone it to the next month, unless a better theme is proposed in between. But in all logic, a close contender would be chosen next.

Also I'm not too keen on adding "paperwork", there is enough, and 1 week isn't really enough time for interested people to vote or comment.

Anyways, I'll add a Halloween/Creepy stuff theme to the October Theme list!

Ok here is Poll for October 2010 theme Vote now! =)

Note: I removed Holy symbol since there was no vote at all and the list start to be long. I will routinely remove 0 voted theme because we don't need polls with like 1 vote for each theme. Anyways, feel free to propose a discarded them at a later point. Once more popular ideas will be covered, there may be more interest then.

Maybe we should discuss acceptable technical limitations about the submissions. Or at least see how everyone feels about such limitations or their need. So I put up a poll at least to see what kind of trend we have about that: please vote here

It's not a "law" vote, but rather a test to see if there's a need for that. Thanks! ':police:'

A Halloween theme is a bit late don't you think?

I mean the contest is destined to run the entire month of October, so the content won't even be available until AFTER Halloween... and by that time, no one will care about Halloween stuff anymore, until next year.  A Halloween theme might have been useful for September, so builders could get their hands on the content in time to actually use it for a Halloween themed mod or area on a PW...

Yeah, that's the stuff I'd like to see and play! Please don't say these kind of mods are only produced once each year, specifically for Halloween... What a ghastly thought!

Not such a bad idea though, a combination of both themes. Could be Commoner Clothing with brownie points for Halloween related costumes, creepy masks etc.

On the other hand, if the theme is limited to clothing wouldn't that make it harder on CC 'newbies' who haven't worked with body parts / dynamic NPCs before (and possibly result in their reluctance to join the contest)?

Yes its harder (well not really harder, but more tedious). Only thinking of doing inventory icons for clothing parts really make think of committing suicide XD

and clothing ARE winning... go find voters!! XD

As far as commoner clothing goes, I think it's needed, just a little limiting as far as a theme goes.  There are lots of other things commoners might use besides clothing. More tools (as holdable items, mops are already done '<img'> ), more work facility parts (mill works, granaries, tannery parts, brewer's vats, etc.), more small buildings (huts, stables, open barns, chicken coops), or anything else a commoner might need.
