He he, thanks for the link. I didn't even know there was another monodrone model before CODI's, and as early as 2003! Do you think CODI's is based on the old one or is it completely independent of it?
Compare Seerow's monodrone and Schazzwozzer's monodrone.
Anyway, what I was trying to say with that cryptic post quoted above is I know there are monodrone models but I'd like to have quadrone models, too.

I'd love to see this material make it into CEP.

Me too, but Phoenix said he'd only upload the models he did himself, not those he borrowed and modified from other CC creators like the Rogue Dao Studios. I haven't found out yet if he's just cautious about it or if he's got an agreement with these CC creators, promising he won't do it.

Don't ask me but keep in mind that Phoenix is not a member of CEP and uses Rogue Daos' CC from NWN2 only for his private server. I don't know if CEP uses other people's CC without asking for permission. I know at least of chico that he offered his tilesets willingly to the CEP team. I'm not quite sure which CC you refer to here but if it was the CC by Rogue Dao Studios, I guess Phoenix and/or the CEP team would have to come to some agreement with them first. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm all for the inclusion of this CC into CEP though, if possible.

The CEP has, in the past, used people's custom content without their permission.

No, this is not acceptable or okay. It has led to violent schisms in the past between custom content authors, who feel they own what they make and are choosing to share it with the community as a gift, and the CEP/some content users, who feel that they are entitled to anything people upload onto the Vault, under any circumstances they like and often without properly giving credit to the original author.

This has led to the loss of some of our best content creators, like Lord Rosenkrantz.

The reality is that when the CEP includes content in their package, the original project dies. No one downloads the creator's original hak anymore, which disrupts the update/improvement process (Many things uploaded these days are rarely finished in the initial release).

I know this is off-topic and not CODI/Planescape related, but if you want to use a content pack that has a high quality threshold throughout while respecting author's rights and not destroying projects, try Project Q instead. Project Q also has all the CODI content fully bug-fixed and corrected, whereas the CEP version of the same is (as far as I know) replete with all the original release bugs. I also know Project Q has asked certain ex-members of CODI, including the guy who made that lovely Blood War tileset linked in the first post, if they'd be willing to give Q any of their unfinished content for polishing and release.

(And no, I'm not in any way connected with Project Q. If it needed to be said).

Does ProjectQ also include the Sigil tilesets?

I understand the problems with the author right's and update/improvement process but what also matters to me is that CEP is so widespread and commonly used by servers and it's highly improbable they will now use ProjectQ instead when they're built with CEP. And lot of servers use CEP only, no haks. That's why I'm very grateful they've included the CODI content and especially the Sigil tilesets in CEP so you have the chance to build Planescape areas for a server even if they don't allow any other haks. If I was building my own new SP mod I'd consider ProjectQ because I like a lot of the content and might sympathize with the philosophy behind it but it would also mean less choice in placeables and monsters (no matter the excellent quality).

Back on topic: I just saw that Phoenix is working on a new Lady of Pain model and if he finishes it, at least this one might be made available for the whole community to use. I think it looks great, so far:

Ok I started a Project about a tileset I call Sigil Wards for now. Its mainly a retexture job, but I'll try to modify it the best I can to make it ressemble typical Sigil illustrations and try to add features we can see in Torment.

THANK YOU!
I wonder if we could get Estelindis involved in anything? I don't know if she's still around but a few yuears ago we were thinking of doing some planescape stuff together (in fairness it was my fault that nothing got done because I am a failure at 3D modelling).
Shame this wasn't goign on back when i was a more actuve community member... Saddly I've forgotten a lot of my planescape triia and NWN1-ness. Oh yeah... Can anyone tell me, have the old forums been abandoned? I didn't see these new ones. ''

Actually some of the more highly populated servers don't use any haks at all... cep or otherwise, just plain 'ol NWN 1.69.
