skill focus feat

if i take skill focus at level one and get the +3 to skill checks does that apply towards the skill check for prestige classes say for blackguard +8 hide or rdd +8 lore? Because i would like to keep my levels as low as possible so i dont get penalized for multiclassing.  Thanks

NO! The skill requirement is base skill level. That is what you see when leveling up.

Sorry that my answer was short. Prestige class have requirements that must be meet. RDD requires 8 ranks in Lore, and Sorcerer or Bard. You can't make RDD until level 6 at the earliest. I have a Dwarf Fighter4/Sorcerer1/RDD2 There is no penalty because Fighter is a Dwarf favored class. RDD is a Prestige class and doesn't count for XP penalty. Sorcerer does, but I don't have 2 non-favored class.

EX: Dwarf Fighter5/Sorcerer4/Bard1 would suffer a XP penalty because the non-favored class,( Sorcerer, Bard) are more then 1 lv apart ( I think that its 1 lv).    

 The skill ranks requirement is the amount of skill points you must put into that skill.
