I mentioned before the CRP scripts were sloppy and I don't know how many times I downloaded a script to find over 100 lines of useless data that was not properly marked. the data was bugging the script. I mention a slight fix that may be more helpful or may be a easer way to echive saod goal only to have someone nagg on me off site for my warning point...

ok issue one the warnign point: I did get the post removed form livejournal. the staff there understood the concept of misleabeled warnings and the damage they can cause.  I am smacking myself for not screencaping the post (to hilight this pot was april 2, 2015) only because it would presure the staff more to correct the wording on the point.

NOW how I got it, I used profanity that was driected at no one... so... not abusive.

Also I was usign the said bad word as a proper noun, I noticed recently that was allowed in the other thread. the action the staff needs to take with my point is to just remove it. is that likely to happen... no... so im stuck with the stigma thanks to someone being whiney about my bad rivews, of their sloppy scripting, on a module with a curseword for a name.

Basicly C+ is not the best script to use but its the one NWN understands better. Refrence preexisting scripts if you can if you can't you should be able to have a person to suport you so I am trying to do two things right now

ISSUE TWO: The stigma I am forced to carry makes this project a little hostile for me to carry on. Thou I would love to set up the live chat on bioware or the vault itsself somewhere where players can benifit most,  I do not wish the stigma to deture potentual builders because of the fact its mislableed.  I have asked it be corrected multiple times with no result,. I also reviced no symathy for the fact the admin that palced it there seemed to think I literaly found where the guy lived, and gave hima balck eye, as oppose to just blocking him when he turned intoa 5yr old baby about it whitch is what I did.

I will admit I did use profanity (thou it was as a proper noun) but I was not abusive abotu it thats inapropreate to stick me with it for this long.

Because I have partly given up on getting the wording corrected on my warnign point, I wish to pass the Idea for this project onto someoneelse. I would liek this person to prefably be more skilled then educated, I put more value in the actual outcome than the means by it was done. Sorry for the long winded post but if you want to carry this project on please contact me or post in the forum below.

Your post actually hurts my brain.

Thats actually quite the accomplishment since its been proven that the brain itself cannot feel pain.

What are you posting about?

Are you saying..

You posted elsewhere in this forum, that someone elses script was sloppy- and received a warning for posting said criticism?

If so- Ok.....

Basicly C+ is not the best script to use but its the one NWN understands better.

I have never heard of C+ :

Are you sure you do not mean C++ ?

C++ Is not a scripting language, it is a programming language.

NWScript is a 'spin-off' scripting language (Although it could be argued to be close to a Programming language, due to its compilation requirement) which more closely resembles C#, a member of the C Family (C Family programming languages are all fairly similar)

ok issue one the warnign point: I did get the post removed form livejournal the staff there understood the concept of misleabeled warnings and the damage they can cause.

Why is an event that happened on LiveJournal of relevance here?

The only sources I know of that use the letter combination "crp" are the C.R.A.P. system, the Community Expansion Pack and the Community Patch Project.  Given your observations it seems that you are trying to discuss either the Community Expansion Pack or the C.R.A.P. system.  The community as a whole is not responsible for maintaining projects, so you would need to contact the author or post on the submission page for the vault (which may not get an answer).

Your first point is completely the server environment.  This needs to be taken up with the server as it has nothing to do with NWN core resources.

Your second point is concerning the forums not the game specifically.  The BioWare forums do allow private messaging.

EDIT: added CEP as possibility

There is already a place to get scripting help and its on these boards. In fact, you've posted there in the past. http://forum.bioware...ders-scripting/

As for live chatting, there are several places one can do that as well. PW Admins and Scripters usually have folks from other PWs or the Community at large within easy reach via Skype, IRC and many other means. Most of us will put aside our personal differences and chip when asked. But you need to also ask and not demand. No one ever gets paid to help here.

There's also a scripting section over at : neverwinterconnections.com Nevermind, it isn't finished yet.

If you need live scripting help, you can use the chat at the new vault. You don't even need an IRC client, the vault has one for you.

There are always people there who will help others with scripting, custom content creation and building.

I must second what Zwekules mentions. The NWVault chat is very helpful, and plenty of times that I've needed scripting help, I've received it from a regular there named henesua.

Cut and pasting parts of scripts into chat is a great way to get a problem looked at - although never paste a full script, you'll get booted by the flood protection - and when a new question crops up, a response is usually not that far behind.

I believe the topic was originally brought up in the elven tree city thread in custom content.  Better here than there I suppose.

nwn specific pastebin, you can paste your script there and then just provide chat a link to your paste, allowing people to see the full script: http://pastebin.myrror.net/

Maybe you should read the posts before complaining they aren't what you wanted. They are links to chats and sites that are exactly what you've been asking for which you could have found out if you actually had bothered to check them out. No downloads involved whatsoever.

I don't know why you even bother to ask for help if you keep rejecting every answer you get.

I should highlight that whining and complaining doesn't qualify as asking for help.

To clerify this project was to help with advanced scritpting you know the kind of exact effect scripts that the generators can not make. A way to help builders achive the effects they desire in their worlds. Some peopel are detail orented I happen to be one of them. this is why "Go download this" is not considered helping in this instance.

to adress the replys NO NO NO and HELL NO

first off the vaut scripts are terrible at discribeing themmselfs even now they rewuire better discriptionss and some are filled with so much (dead) no effect scripting and spesfic inserts they qualify uner the "go download this" not working catogory.

i went thrutgh 20 arenas to find hte script i wanted and it was actualy isted under monster spawn scrpits there ARE problems with the vault scripts and someone here is not willing to accept that.

on the other hand hte generators are just as BAD this is nto about the simple haha stuff the generators can cover or some of the basic scripts this is about ADvanced C+ one scropt one item doing multiple things with one item exc. this is abotu helping player get their desired goal not sending htem soemhwere else and futher furstrating them. another note why is he comenting in my thread after being blocked I will be having talks with a forum admin abotu that. he should Not be allowed to even see my threads!

edit: I hate bioware knocking out my brwoser spellcheck on their site

Personne ne dit rien sur les téléchargements.

Niemand zei iets over downloads.

Niemand hat etwas von Downloads gesagt.

Κανείς δεν είπε τίποτα σχετικά με τις λήψεις.

I said it in French - I said it in Dutch -

I said it in German and Greek:

But I wholly forgot (and it vexes me much)

That English is what you speak!

There are no downloads involved. Nobody said anything about downloading scripts from the vault.

The advice given here is to get live script help from experienced people at the vault chat. It's not only NWN1 help, there are also a few NWN2 people there.

Now to readdress the OP.

@kuronue bloodlust:

There is scripting help both here on the forums and available -LIVE- on an existing IRC to those choosing to use it as has been explained multiple times already above. Many of us also help each other and others using Skype, Google Talk or other VoIP options, but those are generally with folks we know better and more importantly, with folks we know will appreciate the help, not be demanding, and not be insufferably rude to us. In other words, the project you mentioned in your opening post is something this community has been doing for a good long time already.

Here's some tips for folks needing most kinds of assistance here:

1 - Be polite in the wording of your posts. Saying things "suck" or are "gargage" may turn folks off.

2 - Explain precisely what you want or need. The more precise your post is, the quicker most here can help.

3 - Accept that most folks aren't going to "do it all for you", and yes, many times, we'll provide only a code snippet or a link to another resource to help you actually learn to do it yourself. If those asking for help don't show some initiative of their own, sooner or later others will begin to cease assisting them.

Good Luck in your endeavors.
