I posted to indicate that YOU CAN improve search engine ranking, to dismiss it was wrong and spreads the wrong idea.
Snarky? Not at all, just factual. I do share, here, but I don't do work for others on request. I have released scripts and other material and often offer useful advice. If you don't like it, don't read it. Factually, I'm spot on.
I did not volunteer to help on this issue, I'm disabled and have no time to offer you. Don't push it and act like I should jump up and labor for your benefit just cause you ask. Volunteer is just that, I volunteer to do things when and where I can help. What I volunteered here was the benefit of my experience; you CAN improve search engine rankings, never dismiss it to do so is to have the opposite effect (while others continue to improve their own prospects, yours will flounder).

As usual, our Most wonderful, High Exalted, eye_khandee has given us his wonderfully insightful retort, and once again the result boils down to nothing of use.
There are in fact -ways to get substantially higher in search ratings- and I'll outline a few for folks.
1) Post on Forums/Websites that can be publicly viewed without having to register. If you have to register to make a post, that's fine, but search engine bots aren't known to register accounts and login and usually only display publicly viewable results. '>
2) Update those posts from time to time.
3) Use keywords in the titles of threads that match the audience you desire.
4) Also use keywords in the posts themselves.
While it doesn't necessarily increase search ratings, including links in posts, or i your signatures to here, the new vault, etc... helps folks track us down all the faster.
Also keep in mind that search results will vary from user to user based on the search engine used and what that engine has recorded as preferences for that particular user. Still, as posts are made, keywords used, and as more and more folks follow links to them, you'll find that ratings/results will slowly increase. the "key" is using keywords that many folks will use in their own searches.
Really, the same guidelines apply even for searches on these forums. I can't count how many times I've tried to go back and dig up a useful tidbit posted here, but because the thread lacked keywords in the title and/or posts themselves, relocating it takes an inordinate amount of time.
