What module are you playing right now?

The Blackguard series has the only SP modules I can think of that appear to have been specifically designed with thoroughly optimized powerbuilds in mind. At any rate if you employ a PC whose AB or AC is even one less than the maximum you could have crammed in, you will noticeably suffer as a result.

I have noticed this, while replaying the series again.  First time round I went L8 human cleric, then Blackguard.  Second time round I went L8 elf rogue, L1 SD then BG.  Once level 9 was reached, the game was much easier.  Much of this was because the cleave feat was delayed until L9.

SPOILER ALERT.

I had considered going L7 Rogue, then L1 SD to attack the city guard, as they would be worth more XP's to a lower level character.  As a L8 Rogue, L1 SD it took long enough, and that was with an extra attack.  An elven PC allows LB use and UMD meant I could use hasted monk robes  I had to wait until L10 and becoming a BG before even hoping to take on the temple guard (and a certain blacksmith for his axe).  Their smite evil would have killed me otherwise with one blow, which invariably hit.

Edit: First time round I finished level 9 after the first module, and level 18 after the next.

This time round I finished nearly level 11, but then level 16 after the second?

Just about to start the 3rd.  Lowest playable level is 16, but max is 22?  Appears I've missed a big chunk?

Presently playing Almraiven for the first time. It is quickly becoming one of my favourite modules.

I am constantly amazed how good many of the player created modules are. Some have better ideas than the Bioware campaigns, and some, like Almraiven have both better ideas AND a better polish/finish than the official campaigns.

Almraiven is an awesome module. One of my favorites for the reasons mentioned.

okay, I am going to try to solo the Desert of Desolation I3 - Pharaoh module. Looks pretty awesome! I'd rather have a party but the Curse's beckoning grows irresistible...

Wish me luck!! (or join me!)

I wish you luck '<img'>

If I remember right there should be "desert size" option, I advise to choose the smallest desert '<img'>

ATM I play The Lord of Terror module. It is fun to experience a NWN mod with an atmosphere so close to the old Diablo game.

I've put "_Desert of Desolation_" on hold until a few friends can schedule a time to party up and play it together. I don't wanna be _that guy_ who spoils everything. I played it for a few hours with the "BIG" desert settings and it was... ummm... thirsty. Really looking forward to playing it with friends.

Now I am exploring other multiplayer mods, starting with "_The Edge of the Sun_" by MercuryV. Apparently my attention span or overall comprehension level is sorely lacking because the author recommends L14+ for solo but I only made a Ranger9/SD2 to solo with.... hmmm... oh well. The pain is not yet unbearable so I shall press on. I am mostly scouting the mod to determine the viability of party play and so far things look pretty good.

Recently finished SOU, Shadohaunt and HOTU to try out the Shou Disciple class.  Went Human Ranger 1, Monk for next 3 levels, 5 levels of Shou D, then back to monk.  It was okay.

Just finished Kingmaker, then Darkness over Daggerford with an Elven Druid / Shifter / Weaponmaster.  Due to a couple of items, you can create a character that has 4 attacks a round at level 20 (Druid 5 / Shifter 8 / Weapon Master 7), one that you could not usually be able to create.  The concept was that you could pick up any weapon and effectively change it into one you are lethal with.  You need to be level 29 to gain all the benefits, but it was enjoyable to play.

Currently playing Desert Madness.

SPOILERS WARNING.

You need to be L7-11.  I played with an 8th level druid which appeared to be about right.

You get item stripped at the beginning, so you may as well start with a new character.

Large areas with little to do.  The areas were well constructed but far too vast.  Additional side quests could have been used to fill out the spaces and give more depth tp the story..

Not many merchants.  I found two.

No walk through so I am about to give up.  There is one enemy priest that when down to less than half hitpoints effectively paralyses you.  Game over.  Tried several things, but the module is not interesting enough to really worry about attempting more effort to do so.

Pity because it had a lot of potential.

I am playing Citadel right now.  I first played several years ago; this is my second play-through.  The first time around I had frequent re-loads as I struggled with ridiculously hard combat.  To eventually finish the first time, I had to learn every possible strategy, tactic, trick, and power combination there is in Neverwinter Nights.  The second time around I am determined to finish with few pre-loads (so far so good; I have advanced pretty far through some of the beginning quests and storylines with just one re-load).

*_RUNES OF BLOOD_* by MadWombat.

Just started this one last night. Took me forevahhh to figure out how to... err... better not say! Don't wanna spoil it for anyone. Another really entertaining module that I found by reading this thread. Thankee very much, folks.

Recently played - (ZW Presents) Blackwell Keep - Ch.1.

I kinda like the way ZW makes modules. Always with a twist. I remember playing one of his a long time ago - Weapons of Zhentil Keep, which I really enjoyed. I have located it on the Vault and have it bookmarked for replay as well.

Are Weapons truly ZW creation? I know of Mordekainen trials(trilogy) only :/

It says LathH123 is author of Weapons.

The Edge of the Sun, Desert Madness, RUNES OF BLOOD, Citadel, Kingmaker and Darkness over Daggerford - all nice modules(the sweet memories :3).

I have been running few playtests for friends intertwined with SoU-HotU bridge modules. Currently I am giving Silverlake by xax my second shot (my first one ended prematurely, I hope this time I won't go from A->B->Z as I did during my first go.

I could be wrong about Weapons of Zhentil Keep. I did not check the facts. For some reason I believe it to be a ZW presentation. Either way, it is still a really good module.

Blackwell Keep part 1 was very good and I have part 2 on my short list. As I said, I rather enjoy ZW's style.

I also have all the Mordekainen series downloaded but haven't played any further than the first few areas of the First Trial, mostly as a gauge for their suitability for multiplayer. I am holding off on them to host for our group at a later date.

Currently am deeply engaged in a cooperative playthrough of RUNES OF BLOOD. What a fantastic module! Just excellent on all counts so far. Highly recommended. The more I play RoB the greater my regard for MadWombat, and the higher it climbs up my list of all-time favorites.

I really like this thread, especially I feel the module list is not as easy to navigate or filter in the new vault.

Tried Almraiven a little recently, and I've no idea how FP did some of the things that are in the module. It's really impressive and very interesting so far.

Probably going to try other stuff mentioned here, once I complete it.

I'm still stuck at Hordes of Underdark,I know I know....but why is it so damn difficult?! The Valsharess one on one fight, and the Maugrim + many others fight, the fourth Guardian of the Path fight.....I cheated through all of them, still I wish I wouldn't have to...I found this one just impossible,I've already set the difficulty to "easy". BTW I'm a Sorcerer(16) and Monk(11).

Maybe you picked wrong class combo? Just saying people usually only take few monk levels to complement sorcerer or go full-monk..

You can always relevel with cheats dm_giveXP -XXX then dm_giveXP XXX '<img'>
