What module are you playing right now?

Puzzles in Eryndlyn are like that -> sometimes they don't work or require a sequence that needs to be guessed (with missing clues etc.)

Hmm, which door are you speaking about exactly? Is it in near the dwarven tomb with those guardians and hammer/armor for LE Dwarfs?  I remember having to pull a chain.. but in the need I think I jumped past the door with console command unable to find answer in toolset I think.

That is what I did this time.  Didn't sit well with me, so knocked it on the head.

Just finished Narrowbane.  It felt like playing chapter 3 of the OC, so if you like that, then this is for you.

Then completed Necropolis.  Okay once.

Downloaded it so will try it soon.

Finally started and finished Gladiatrix III.  For me personally, I found the whole series too linear as a rpg, but once I considered the module as a novel, then I could enjoy it.

I'm glad I started it because the dreamscape 'episode' was the best piece of visual eye candy I've seen in a long time.  Far better than the 'sex' scenes.  The story was great except I kept giving my henchmen kit, and didn't save just before they left, meaning I lost several decent magic items.  Talking of which, I gained the Blade of Storms in chapter 1.  Unless I missed something, a better weapon was not available in chapters 2 nor 3.  A minor erk but there you are.  Made level 21 at the end of GIII, which is kinda cool, as you are now EPIC.

With the same character , then played Godslayer.  Bit like playing chapter III of the OC.  It had some moments, especially with puzzles, doable with some thought, but a bit too two dimensional.  I suspect there may have been the possibility of a great deal of treasure given the number of +10 lockpicks and healing kits I picked up.

Then I went Infinite Dungeons, the first time in a long time.  I had forgot there was too much treasure, not enough story.  That module was so close, yet so far, from being great.

Feeling lucky that I saved the character from Gladiatrix III at the end, now looking for an interesting level 21 adventure.

We're playing through the Subterra Series at the moment. I highly recommend it. Nice RPG and a bit of hackity slashity. I just wish it was updated to include CEP. The story is great so far, but the henchmen are a little bland.

I'm currently playing through Baldecaran's Honor Among Thieves, a module targeted at Rogue builds.

Chaotic Neutral Halfling Rogue, ftw.

"Why, hello! That's a juicy lookin' chest ya got thar. Don't mind me, just havin a lil look-see!"

You start of with nothing to your name, so it's good to relieve this merchant of all his stuff and then cash up by selling it off. This is right at the beginning, in the Hopping Hobgoblin Inn.

Love the scripting and the lil' attentions to details, like being asked to shut a door before the guy will tell you a secret. I like how when you reach the town, you follow behind him and he makes casual remarks about this and that.

Enjoying it!

This is a very good module.

It is not as good as A Dance With Rogues imo, but you have more choice of character before you start.  For many that's better.

I Much prefer Honor Among Thieves.  Superbly done, with multiple endings (at least one ending is truly epic).

ADWR central storyline is about you being raped and traveling around and harassed by your rapist. Not my idea of a good time.

I've finally deleted Eryndlyn.  With a couple of cheats I got as far as the drow city, but didn't fancy yet another cheat too progress.  It really needs a walkthrough.  I picked up plenty of useless keys, and the groovy dwarf hammer was forcibly swapped for a bland +4 keen longsword.

This is a shame because the adventure had real potential as one of the very best modules out there.  It looked good, felt epic, but if you lack clues to progress, rather pointless.

SPOILERS:

In Eryndlyn you fight on the side of the old ruling house with the new ruling house, there are some twists, but areas are unusually large and guess what - you have to backtrack them many times. There are also Thayans involved and those slavers at it again.

EDIT: and of course you find that the dwarven king is dead '<img'> but nothing that a resurrection from Lolth priestess, you are assisting, won't fix '<img'>

I'm going to wait until a walkthrough becomes available, if ever.  I play NWN for fun, love a challenge, but have a really decent family with 3 awesome kids and a really great wife.  Single people might have the time to continually backtrack, reload saved games to find the correct sequence etc, but I'm just a dude, not Sherlock.

Blackguard III.  The whole series is pretty good but exceedingly tough.  Almost too tough, and that tones down the potential max enjoyment.  Modules improves with each segment.

The Blackguard series has the only SP modules I can think of that appear to have been specifically designed with thoroughly optimized powerbuilds in mind. At any rate if you employ a PC whose AB or AC is even one less than the maximum you could have crammed in, you will noticeably suffer as a result.
