Advertising NWN

Hey folks!

I was thinking to myself, would it be a good idea to somehow advertise NWN to people who have never tried it, or to remind people of its existance. I would hope to eventually increase the playerbase and make more people aware of the quality revolution this game have gone through! Where would such advertisement be possible, any ideas on this? I am thinking about the Paizo boards and the DnD boards, but I'm not sure if it's allowed to post an advertisement there, thoughts?

I'm pretty sure they have a section for CRPG's over there (or used to) and you wouldn't be the first to promote a PW there. That being said, go for it. Certainly can't hurt.

NWN is such an old game that, IMHO, to attract new players you have to get them to stick around long enough to discover for themselves the gem that this game is.

And that's after getting them to look at all.

I believe NWN has become relegated to an "Enthusiast" platform, for DMs & Players to meet up on a server hosted by the DM / Server Admin....

Getting inside of circles of "Enthusiast" group, who still play the game, would probably be the best advice you can receive, though you are welcome to host a server, but I wouldn't expect many people logging in even if you listed it everywhere, and that's mainly because people are looking for a "nice group" to RP / Play with...

(From personal experience, I am leery about logging into dead servers, there is generally a reason why they are dead.)
