NWN really was one of the best games...
« on: March 20, 2012, 06:08:18 pm »

Looking through the NWN forum and I'm glad to see it's not completely dead.  I started with NWN back in high school I'm pretty sure before there were any expansions but I wish I would have gotten into the multiplayer much earlier.  It was difficult then because I only had dial up in my area for a long time.

I ended up running a server and making a world myself.  I always thought it was a ton of fun.  So many excellent community developments - tools ect.  No community I have ever been a part of had/has the same quality.

One of my biggest regrets is not bringing my sister into the mod development.  She just graduated from college now with an English major and the intent to write and illistrate her own books.  You never really want the little sister tagging along when your growing up but looking back I think we both would have had a lot of fun.

It is never too late to get back into something. you just have to want to. '<img'> we could always use more new players , as well as more people who enjoy making mods for others to play.

I don't have the kind of free time I once had.  NWN always made me feel like I could have a hand in designing games which is a dream that I didn't follow.  I felt it was a difficult industry to make any money on.  Now Indie devs are becoming more and more common so maybe down the road I might do something like that.

In NWN I was one to run a persistent world.
