I was also very disappointed with SWOTR. Played somewhere between 12-18 hours total.
Graphics? Nah, about equal to what we can achieve in NWN with the better things that have been learned since/with the 1.69 patch. Everything outdoors was a speedtree plant, grass or building. In fact, the graphics actually looked very flat, dull or blah instead of what I know is possible with the newer hardware/software out there now. However, the graphics were acceptable.
Story/quest lines were fine, and being such a large world(s) there were hundreds of them.
My biggest complaint is that there were no henchmen available for solo players to be able to achieve higher quests/levels etc, you are forced to join a party... and although I attempted that at least with 20 different folks, I was never able to find anyone willing to join up.
Servers were all full, which is to be expected on such a large open beta, and even when flagged as full, I was able to log onto at least one of them. Some were reporting upwards of 4 hour wait times though.
For this game, they really need to provide a local play environment to allow a player to get used to how things work before dumping the player into such a large environment.
There are a very wide variety of races/character types to choose from, and each likely has it's own individual aspects to make the game more interesting. However, without knowing that prior to logging in, you are basically at a loss as to what type to play and how to level them up etc. (All of which will be solved by fan created wiki's eventually I am sure). This is not a place to jump into and start playing, if you want to maximize your experience, you really should spend hours reading online what is already available on character/race options etc.
Overall, I guess it is what you would expect from an MMO, and yet still missing large features that would make it more enjoyable for folks from the NWN world(s).
