Hello all fellow NWN-diehards,
Long did I expect the death of NWN as it would slowly run out of the market and away from the store shelves, but thankfully, as we all know,
gog.com came along. For the community to continue to live on, it's given that there needs to be an influx of new players to counter for the inevitable - even if by now small - outflux there will be. Not to mention that new players revigorate any gaming community.
It seems viable to conclude that many of the new players should come from the gog homepage, but what strikes me when reading the description given there is that it does not at all mention that the massive amount of community made free content to be had nor that there's still a very active community and even online servers where you can play more or less equivalent to MMORPGs for free.
What I was wondering is whether we as community could somehow encourage gog to add some detail on this on their page dedicated to NWN, perhaps even with links to places like here. It would in the end be a win-win solution, as it could only boost gog's sales.
That I write here is of course because I expect that it would be easier to persuade gog if there's wide support, but also so that there can be some impartiality in judging what is important to add (or if it's a good idea at all). That we remain unified as a community is after all as important as new players to guarentee the future of the game we've all grown so fond of.
