NWN D&D type Question
« on: August 25, 2011, 01:42:10 pm »

               Hey All,

Not sure if this is the correct place to be asking this question but it seems like as good a place as any.  I was just wondering, and this probably applies to NWN2 as well, what hit die applies to a multi-class character??  If I start a game as a barbarian (d12) obviously my hit die is going to be a d12, but what happens if I then multi-class with a rogue (d6) and end up with 1 level of barbarian and say 5 levels of rogue??  Or then introduce a 3rd class...say a ranger (d8)...Is my hit die still a d12 or is it the same as my higest level class so in this eg a d6 or the same as the last level up I did so a d8???  Has always puzzled me how it works in NWN (and potentially NWN2 as well)???''

Thanks all...

MickeyD

You gain the hit die of the class you selected for that level, on level up.  So, with your 1 bbn, 5 rogue, 1 ranger example, you would gain 1d12 + 5d6 + 1d10 (1d8 with 3.5 rangers).
