Hey, I am having the same problem as solmyrian. I remember having my CD key stored at bioware was easy for me, as I always lose my CD keys. But now that the forums are gone, is there anyway to recover it? I was planning to do a clean install on my PC soon, as I'm going to have to postpone it til I can reinstall NWN.

You already have a working installation?

If so, check your nwn folder for the file nwncdkey.ini, it contains a plain text version of ALL your NWN 1 cd keys.  Just copy that file somewhere or print it out, and you can reinstlal to your hearts content.

*Brain Storm* Why cant we just upload the game files with the critical rebuild in it ,ready to play to the nwvault?

xp verision

linux version

then people just need a cd key

Then Bioware/EA/Hasbro/Atari ...whoever else you can morph into can charge for CD keys

I had watched a documentery on gorillas the other day. All was fine until they threw a bundle of bannanas in the mix.

Kinda like big cooperations.

I mean sheesh I feel like Im trying to park my car in the garage but 10   two year olds have the garage door opener and are playing.

I'll be in the toolset if anyone needs anymore smart comments.

Didn't check the link but the critical rebuild for v1.69 I used was found at:
http://files.bioware...9HotUUpdate.exe

So, if the file names match, then both are for the CR.

So, this will fully update your game from whatever it was before, up to 1.69, right? As long as you have HotU?

About a month ago I used my legacy account to change my NWN password. I've received an email stating my legacy account was closed but can still log in to the game using the newer password. Does this mean my NWN password is safe, or will I have to change that as well?

Same here,  I'll have to see if I had my keys backed up locally somewhere.  Maybe they will give those of us whos keys were compromised new keys for the products we had registered?   Maybe when pigs fly.... ''

Can't seem to find it ><

For Neverwinter Nights, check the top (or near) of the NWN 1 Modules forum, the thread is called "Ultimate NWN1 Module List". I'm not as familiar with NWN2, but I assume a similar list exists in the corresponding forum for that game.

The NeverWinter Nights forum hack made the Sunday Edition of the Wall Street Journal.  Bottom of page B4 in the Marketplace section.  It even mentions the Neverwinter forum specifically.  Not bad for a game this old!
