It would be nice if the old cd keys we have archived there could be made available or moved into the new data base.

I know it would be work on your part '<img'>

Maybe they could be added to our profile here in some easy fashion ?

Forget about archiving...
If those CDKeys have been stolen, they need to be de-activated, and we need to be issued replacements.

               Thanks for the update, Chris.

Please keep us informed as more information becomes available.

Ok, move along, move along!  Nothing more to see here.  Shouldn't you all be playing NWN somewhere?

Thanks from me too for the update, which makes what you posted earlier quite understandable due to stress.

Also, sorry to hear of your misfortune, Chokra Broodslayer!  I really does put everything into perspective.

Having played and been on the Neverwinter sites since the beginning I can only say Chris Priestly should be up for Sainthood. I just cant understand some of you people. After all the years I have never quite felt the urge to actually post. But this is it! How many of you complainers are over 12 years old? Because if it is as few as I suspect some of you not only need to grow up but learn some respect. I have seen people over the years get blasted and had awefull things said about them. Why? For getting a couple lines of script wrong? They put in hundreds of hours WORKING on something for the community for free and if its not perfect some little crybaby has to whine about it. Give me a break! Personaly I dont know that I have ever had the kind of support and response as I have had from Bioware over the years. Instead of complaining and threatening- I dont know what? (the game is ten years old do you really think you are a financial asset to them) Its not evil to run a business folks I dont care what the current president says. I would like to remind everybody we are a dying community, if we are not good to each other no one else is going to be good to us.
So from one humble player I say THANK YOU Bioware and Chris Priestly for almost ten years of fun. All for the cost of one round of golf.

No one took the time (me included) to copy/paste the old forum data, we all trusted Bioware, which no-longer really exists as a separate entity, it is just a token name in a big conglomerate that has no bearing on what originally made them big and where the accountants see savings on support by just killing off the old stuff that they see no profit from.

Sucks, doesn't it?

Funny story that, you see people at sims 3 forums are saying a very similar thing about EA being heartless. (Thought I don't nessessarily agree) Whenever I google how to do something in Neverwinter Nights, and there's a bioware forum entry I click cached to view it. xD

Hmm it seems since we can still view the cache entries (but not forever) we might want to savage what we can while we still are able. But c'mon, the games lasted 10 years. You can't expect them to keep it up forever.

If, indeed, you have been on the Neverwinter sites since the beginning, then you would know that most of the NWNers on the forums are over the 30+ range.

Not to mention that you are engaging in exactly the same type of behavior that you are deploring.

Why would you want to "waste" your first post with such a rant?

Whatever.

On with the topic...ermmm...yeah.

??

I don't see the Community asking for anyone to "keep it up forever" - I see them asking for fair warning of immenent closure.  There is an effort to save the information (see the Omnibus for more details from OTR).

You need to realize that such takes time.  I think that is why there were violent reactions in this case, as it appeared that the Legacy forums just went *poof!* without warning.

Action -> Reaction, that sort of thing.

I got to say. I'm really annoyed at BioWare for requiring people to register their CD-keys in order to post in certain forums, so that when issues like this arise, we get screwed as well.

Deserk, no one got "screwed" (as you so elegantly put it) as no CD Keys were accessed.
