Ah, fair enough.

I do owe everyone here an apology.

When I made my post yesterday, I was aware that the websites had been taken off line for back end web work, but was not yet aware of the extent of the problem or the eventual information that is now available. I did allow some rather juvenile comments to get my hackles up and instead of just saying "we are running some back end checks and will have more information for you shortly", I overeacted.

I was not aware of the extent of the issue (no one was at the time of my post, it was uncovered by dillegient work by our website and IT group), but this does not excuse what I said. For this I do apologize to those I offended.

If you have not read BioWare Studio Manager Aaryn Flynn's explanation of why the NwN information was removed without notice, you can do so HERE.

We are still investigating what we can do next for the NwN information, forums, website and CD Keys. When we have more information, we will let you know.

No worries man...it was just OOC for you which threw alot of us off.

Thanks for clearing it up and providing the 411.

Thanks for the update, Chris. This should be a lesson to everyone not to jump to conclusions and accusations.

Euh, I don't know if that could help but I found my CD keys stored in that 'nwncdkey.ini' file in my own NWN directory, thanks to the one of you who posted the info recently right here, in that very thread... some time ago.

Thank you Chris. That's big of you.

Thank God this was an act of self-defense and not stupidity. I've been a Bio fanboy for too long to be able to understand a decision like that. It would be like finding out your best friend died from having unprotected sex with prostitutes. You want to feel bad but all you can really muster is keeping your exclamation of "******" under your breath at the funeral.

Chris, thanks again. Please keep us informed on developments, would you?

Also, I am sick a bit, because I got a thrill seeing the Dev tag posted in our new social NWN forum. :~|

Sorry to see the old forums go.  I had good times there back when I first got Platinum, though I doubt I posted enough for anyone to remember me. I'm glad to see that the community survives and continues to move forward  (and let me tell you I am SO GLAD I kept my manual with the CD keys...).

Hope I see you guys in a PW sometime.

Thanks for the post, Chris.  Really does help when we get information as to what is going on.

So as far as I am concerned, no apologies necessary.  Just glad to hear more about what happened.

It would be nice if the old cd keys we have archived there could be made available or moved into the new data base.

I know it would be work on your part '<img'>

Maybe they could be added to our profile here in some easy fashion ?
