Hi all,
I'm a rather casual player with a somewhat updated hardware that I use to play (a 2006 laptop with 1.86GHz Centrino, 1GB RAM and 64MB ATI Mobility X600SE video card).
I play with my wife, in the past few years we played Morrowind (with the expansions) and Knights of the Old Republic. I always loved Bioware's games, especially the Baldur's Gate Saga which I went trough before marriage and kids (when I was a more-than-casual player
'>).
Before moving on to KOTOR II I wanted to do something fantasy and since Oblivion's requirements are a bit high for my laptop I decided to go back at an older, yet great game: NWN.
I got it with the two main expansions and I think we will first go through the OC.
I'm positive my wife will love it as she recently fell in love with fantasy literature (she just devoured the Riftwar and Mistborn sagas).
I will for sure, I've been playing pen and paper D&D as my first RPG (back in the late 80's) before moving on to many others. With CRPGs I started with Bard's Tale III and Ultima VI and VII, played all the Eye of the Beholder's, the BG saga. I missed NWN only because I was very busy with RL (real life) at that time.
We decided to make a single-class elf monk. There comes my question.
On the manual and everywhere else I read that monk don't have Discipline as a class skill. Yet, the game interface presents it as a class skill when creating the character! I actually bought a few ranks with only 1 point per rank.
Is that normal? I'm happy with it of course but I wonder why. I don't think being an Elf should influence that.
Is it because of an error (patched in a version following my 1.62) or was it changed from the original game?
