Vault Spam Attack

               Our beloved vault is under a major spam attack.  Mostly NwN entries, scripting it seems, but this needs to be looked into.  I already sent a PM over there, with no answer.  So I am posting it here in hopes that someone with some pull will notice.                Have they been targeting specific authors? I cant seem to find any of this spam yet. Though I just started going through the top rated listings in scripting.

wtf, i don't believe this, do you have proof?

The spam is really present, especially in new submissions but the nicknames are random and text is bunch of links, its a work of those spambots. I don't really understand what should Greifers have from this.

               yep, I get em at least once every two months on many of my submissions for last several months it seems..
examples like:

giorgio armani, do you like into the bright oceans of moonlight love, armani is a giorgio handbag. leather suplets fanciful fine dining.

and other nonsense like that..then its gone..then its back..then its gone.

I thought he was reffering to the trolls who were posting and making fake submissons. Some of those folks had the same names as the Griefers.

My bad. Though they have attacked 2 forums as of late and then saw ffjb's post which was why i posted.

If you email BTP, he will. '<img'>  I send him links to spam/trolls whenever I find them. The site is too big for the team to monitor it all themselves soooooo...

               No, I already asked them...I told them we had a player that was banned for hate comments and harassment/stalking on our server, and the same guy was leaving bad votes and comments that still had discriminating comments about lesbians, being really nasty about it. So... management only removed the part in his rant about gays, and told us that his server review(s) of us are valid. I guess it's okay to downvote a project because you don't like the sexual orientation of the members? Somehow that is a non-biased view of the project? TBH I'm a little upset at how little the admins cared. He comes back a few times a year under different handles and downvotes us some more, often on the date he was banned. Pretty amazing that he can't find something better to do after it's been over a year now.

               Simple, turn off voting.

The vault system has always been spammed by the idiots in the nwn community.

Vault specific rules on voting are not enforced.

If you want folks folks to be able to comment about your PW somewhere, put up a forum system somewhere that allows you control.  

I am NOT saying that deleting all bad votes is the right way to handle things either.  A valid, constructive BAD vote is still a valid vote.  BY this I mean if someone votes a low number because of something they find bad about a server, fine.  But that "something"  should NOT be one that is based on hate, or ignorance or personal feelings between different folks should be deleted.
